Irene was a good professor and I would recommend others interested in Sustainability take this class. There was a lot of pre-work as this was offered during a winter block week. In addition to the block week there were quite a few papers due during/after the course. The class is super interesting but you will do a lot of work.

Her voice is soft mono toned and it made the lecture even more boring. However, she is a very helpful prof if you have questions. Irene marks the exams hard.

very knowledgeable teacher but teaches very boring lectures. her 8am classes are just torture, she is very mono-toned. boredom torture, had hard time keeping my eye open. she is fairly easy marker, make sure you know your stuff prior to taking exams. she is bit unclear about the term project. ask around

Lectures were difficult to follow - it consisted of practice problems in the textbook that became more unclear after attending class. She is very willing to help though. If you put in the time and effort to make sense of the material, the class isn't that bad. Do the assignments - easy marks!

There wasn't much lecturing going on in our "lectures". It was more of doing practice problems that she kept getting wrong. Theory was not practiced during lectures, but very important for exams. Also the textbook sucked and was USELESS. Self tests are important. Course was easy, don't have to attend lectures or tutorials.

Dont bother trying to take notes in this class, its useless. She is unorganized in writing down notes and doing problems on the board... When you go to the acct tut go to Bridget's tutorial. Bridget should be teaching the class and you'll learn the most with her. Self Tests are key. btw all the teachers are bad...

Thouroughly explains concepts (there is not that much material to learn). There is plenty of time to read all the chapters and study the slides if you like that sort of thing. Powerpoints are crystal clear and they include in depth notes. Seems like the people that went with a different prof have a harder time with this course. Messy writer.

Utterly terrible prof. ACCT 465 has been the most useless class of my accounting major. Everything you learn in this class, you learn in greater detail in other classes. She also has the most inane assignments and marks you on ridiculous things. Assignments are also unclear, and the Blackboard site is extremely disorganized.
