Comment:

Taken him for two classes and not impressed. It is almost impossible to get a clear answer out of him. He will sputter and backpedal on everything. Takes any kind of questioning as a personal attack. Passive-aggressive. Knowledge of the material is dated. Don't feel like he's helping me be a good photojournalist. Tests are ridiculously confusing.

He was a nice enough guy but was sort of vague about what he really wanted from you. I would NOT recommend his Photography class if you like to be artsy/creative with your photos. Tests were a bit misleading, I felt.

Awesome professor. Wants the students to do well. Points out the strengths and weaknesses of the best photos from the class. Fun, interesting, and easy. Midterm test and Final-- the rest of the grades were from photos, 50 points each. Do the photo assignments you should do well. Attendence in class not required but helpful.

GREAT GUY--he is funny in a weird kinda way...he makes class interesting and he really knows his stuff...he seems sckatter brained, but in all reality he has really got it together :)

I loved this class! He is kind of crazy but actually knows what he is talking about even though he is mostly a photography prof. Really easy class, had lots of fun and actually did real life stories.

He is a great teacher! I have never met a more helpful professor. He shows you that he really cares if you succeed. He's lenient too and understands when you have problems and can't make it to class or turn something in. I would definately take him every time I could!

I really appreciated his honesty. If there was something I needed to change on my work, he told me why and offered suggestions. As long as you listen to him, you will make a good grade in this class. Also, he is interesting and funny.

Zibluk teaches you everything he knows, and he knows a lot. This is a class you have to apply, though, so expect investing out-of-class time in shooting.

I liked him. He was great. Very good at telling you why your pictures are good or bad. He tells what you need to work on for the photo or how to make it better and what is wrong with it. His stories are great as well.

If you want someone with complete photography experience then def. take him. He knows what he is talking about, so it really helps to pay attention. He is very helpful, as long as you put forth a little effort to learn. He cares about his students more so than other teachers at ASU.

Regarding knowledge of the asthetics of journaism (photo quality, page layout, etc.), Zibluk's knowledge and experience are outstanding. He doesn't pad his grades, but if you're willing to listen to his advice and work a little, there's no reason most people can't make at least a B.
