Her lectures are all over the place writing problems skipping to the answers and not full explaining it. She'll throw out information that you don't need to know but she thinks is "interesting" which ends up being confusing. She does try to help by dropping lowest quiz and HW grades, & helps during office hours. She's a nice lady but a bad teacher

Nice lady, but she isn't the best at explaining materials. Just do the homework, go to her office hours for help and you will be fine because her quizzes and exams are very similar to the homework.

I tried my hardest in stats. I went to tutoring every week and learned more from her than I EVER did Dr. Hall. Went to her office hours & there was no one in there, she said she couldn't help me bc it was her precalc hours only. Notes never correspond w hw. She only gives 15 mins for quizzes so if you're not the best test taker, i don't recommend

Jackie Hall is one of the worst professors I've ever had. She does not teach you the material at all. She is scatter brained. She will write the problem on the board with the answer but does not explain how she go the answer. The homework she gives you has nothing to do with what she talked about in class that day.

Professor Hall is very scatter-brained, which makes it hard for you to grasp the material. Beware that there is a quiz every week, sometimes two! Be prepared to teach yourself or attend office hours often.

Super scatter-brained. The material she covers in class is rarely covered on quizzes and tests. Not very understanding when it comes to actual emergencies (medical,etc.). I would not recommend for pre-calc. BE PREPARED TO TEACH YOURSELF

As a math major I feel I can fairly say she is the absolute worst professor in the entire department. She's scatter-brained, loses your work but expects to just not count it even if you would've done well and it could've helped your grade. Quizzes all the time which she gives knowing we still don't understand and will fail. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

She's a bit scatter-brained and that's evident in her notes. If you need the class just to fulfill your GOALs and don't plan on furthering your math skills, I'd take her. Going to her office hours help. She knows she's not the greatest teacher, so she drops your lowest quiz grades and usually makes your quizzes like 1210 points. She's alright.

Mrs. Hall meanss well but is a bad professor. She makes one of two mistakes when teaching: she either goes other something in ten different ways, none of which are explained well, thus causing you to mix it all up, or spend ten minutes going over a harder method which isnt how she'll even test you. She shoots down concerns about probs w/StatsPortal

She's the definition of confusing and all over the place, be prepared to basically teach yourself. Doesn't seem to know what she's talking about in the first place, seeing as how she would constantly get homework questions and examples wrong, as well as mentioning that she was a bio major, which would actually explain a lot

I do not recommend her for math 171. She has no idea what she is teaching, and we actually learned half the material any other 171 class did; and that is awful if you need this information for your major. This class was useless.

Seriously one of the worst classes I've ever taken. Don't waste your time if you can help it. Take it with someone else. She goes off on crazy tangents that make no sense, while neglecting difficult material. If you can teach yourself, you might pass. Otherwise, don't hold your breath.

Dr. Hall was such a sweet lady who is truly dedicated to her math courses. She has a good sense of humor and as long as you attend her classes you will do well on her tests. Study the quizzes for her tests. Awesome professor.

Dr.Hall is very nice, but she is alittle bit hard to understand. if you don't get something, she only knows how to explain it one way, if you don't get it you don't get it. She will help you more during office hours though. The class isn't too hard as long as you keep up with homework and notes.
