Very boring. He goes off topic a lot and will be disrespectful to you if you point it out. A lot of reading is expected even though we don't have much time and we have other classes/responsibilities. I often fell asleep in his class because of how dull he was.

Professor Lindgren was my favorite, he has a clear grading system and work assignments and as long as you read the two books you will be fine, he was the most straightforward professor and tells you what needs to be done and if you do it you will be fine. Listen to him as he is super smart and knows the answer to any question you have.

These are the most boring, dry lectures known to man. A monotone old man talking about old things with no enthusiasm. Assigns 20+ pages of reading a night and if you think you can skip over it, good luck. I've done every reading, gone to and participated in every class, and still barely passing. Absolutely the worst professor I've had in 3 years.

Horrible professor. Effort u put in to the class doesn't effect your grade. He claims ur grade will be curved for the final. it doesn't he's an awful person and a liar, doesn't respect your bathroom business even if ur a girl. His lectures r horrible, half the stuff he talks about doesn't correlate with the material. Talks about trump. AVOID HIM.

Lindgren is an incredibly tough grader, and expects much more out of his students than he puts in. His lectures are dry and boring and if you want any real help outside of class your out of luck. I love history and have taken a lot of history courses and never found one I loathed until now. Grades do not accurately reflect the effort student put in

One student to another, I strongly advise you to not take his classes! The quizzes are not too bad, but the tests are ridiculously hard. The textbooks are boring and hard to get through, and I actually really enjoy history. Loves to talk about himself and the books he has written. Not a fan

This man is honestly the most unreasonable and unaware man I have ever met. He makes you memorize an unrealistic amount of information which is just not the way people learn and as a teacher he should know and care about that. I have never cared about my teachers and I can find the good in all of them, but not this one. I hate him :/

I've never rated a professor on this site before, but I am here to tell you DO NOT take a class with this professor. I am a junior and honestly cannot remember a time a class gave me more stress than this one has. His workload is ridiculous and he will talk for an entire hour and fifteen minutes straight and it's awful. Seriously, RUN.

Attendance is very necessary (he does check). There are reading assignments due basically every class along with a quiz (almost) every class. Harsh grader on essays. Looks more for what you do wrong rather than right. Too much work for this type of class and doesn't teach. Gives reading, then quiz, then teaches everything after.

I am a senior history major and am finding this class to be the most ridiculous class I have ever taken, especially at the 100 level. He teaches no critical thinking skills and his lectures are pointless and boring. He quizzes you on obscure topics and tries to throw you off. He is mean. You'll learn nothing. If you can, save yourself the trouble.

He's way too political. I signed up for Historic Sites to learn about Historic Sites, not be told every day that republicans and racist and America is terrible. His lectures are really dry and he constantly goes passed his scheduled time.

Not cut out to teach he is very knowledgeable and intelligent, but expects way too much for an 100 level course. 40-50 page chapter readings every week which follows a quiz, reading and memorizing an entire novel for midterm and final. Lectures that drag and half of what he says is irrelevant. SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS.

I will be sure to never take one of his classes again. This class is an hour and 15 minutes lecture of him nonstop talking about the most uninteresting topics. He calls on you and will get in your face if you do not know the answer. Also, the amount of homework and quizzes should be illegal. Would not recommend this professor!

Long and dry lectures although he is very knowledgeable. Expects attendance, will point you out if you're on your phone, doing other work, or dozing off. For the most part, a chapter needs to be read for every class which will most likely result in a fair quiz at the beginning of class. The two tests in the class are based on notes you take during his lecture, specific chapters from outside reading he gives us, and a lot of extra based on articles given before the tests. Requires a lot of reading and memorization.

Wish I would have read comments on here before I took his class. He is a terrible teacher. Lectures are long and boring. I took it at 8am, worst decision ever! The man won't let you leave the classroom to use the bathroom. Will call you out as you get up to pee. Very passive aggressive and not much help. Expects a lot of memorization of material.

I am an overall good student. I read and do as I should. However, with Lindgren he is just not cut out to teach. His lectures I felt like dragged on. There was no powerpoint and it was unclear which of his points were important. It's constant reading between your textbook (because you may get a pop quiz) and an outside novel.

Professor Lindgren is a very bland professor. He asks you to read two books and he expects you to read for every class. He only gives two tests a midterm and a final exam. Both these will make or break your grade. Be prepared for them. He likes to talk for the entire hour fifteen so be wary of that. He will literally not stop talking.

I have repeatedly asked for help and he gives me the same non helpful answer. We have to read a chapter before every class and then have a quiz on it in that class. He also gives outside readings on top of having to read the textbook cover to cover.

This man is the worst professor ever. He is very knowledgeable but the presentation of that knowledge is very condescending and hard to deal with. You are expected to read 3 separate books for this class and memorize each one. The tests require ridiculous amounts of memorization that even the most powerful of computers would have issues with
