Dr. Meyers is extremely smart and his lectures are intense. He might come off as mean but he pushes people to do better. Don't talk or goof around in class or he gets pissed! 80% and up is an A because the tests are difficult. Don't take his classes if you want an easy four credits. Oceanography should be an upper level class.

Dr. Meyers is a good guy, and he has always been helpful to me. His class is rough, not a 100 level class. You HAVE to study. I've learned a lot in this class but that was not reflected in my grades.

Dr. Meyers is a very kind and approachable teacher. He cares about the success of students who want to do well in his class. He is very passionate about his subject and conveys that through great teaching. I would definitely take another of his classes. If your're willing to do the work a college student should do...you'll do fine in his classes.

It really isn't nearly as bad as people say. If you go to class and actually PAY ATTENTION and not IM the whole time, you should be able to pick out the major topics for the tests. Also the warmups are easy and a decent chunk of the grade. He really is helpful if you go to him and really want help. His grading scale is 80& & up is an A which is nic

He is a very hard prof but if you go in w/ the right attitude for help he will be more than happy to help you. The test are hard but if you study you will do fine. I suggest taking the lab it makes the class easier. And go to the SI sessions. He is hard but the class is worth it. Hes the only prof I stay in conntact with and it's not even my major.

He is a nice person and is very helpful when you need help! Tests are HARD, but warm-ups are easy. A good sense of humor in lectures. Need to be on your toes in this class! SI sessions are available for extra help as well (very useful!!) Should not be a 100 level class..more like 300

this class seriously should not be a 100 level class. It is really hard, i have taken 300 levels easier than this. he makes you feel stupid, and isn't very friendly one on one or via email. class average test scores are around 50%. VERY VERY HARD for a 100 level class.

AWFUL PROFESSOR. His lectures are impossible to understand. This is one of the hardest classes I've taken at WSU. He is a very mean person and is SOOOO BORING. He is an extremely hard professor. I would NOT recommend taking this professor for ANY classes!!!

Meyers is nice and mean. He has good days, but he has been very rude to some people I have noticed. Nice in lectures, mean in lab. TESTS ARE IMPOSSIBLE. class averages on the tests are around 50-60 percent. VERY HARD to get warm-up credit. Warm ups are just Pass/Fail, and they arent all MC, they are essay too. HARD. Dr. Meyers is an AWESOME professor! All you have to do is show up to lecture, take detailed notes, and study the notes for the exams. If you show effort, he's more than willing to spend 1 on 1 time with students! You learn a lot in this class, so skipping even 1 or 2 lectures is NOT recommended, and GO TO THE SI SESSIONS! They really help!

He just lectures and does not use anything to present the information. He just talks and expects people to take notes off of that. Boring!! Do not take it unless you have to!!
