Grade is based off of three 40 point tests. No homework. No extra credit. He gives a review for the exams but very few questions from the review are actually on the exam. Make sure you go to class, take really good notes, and study A LOT for his exams.

Professor Thornton is one of a kind. He basically stands before the class ans just spews knowledge. He made economics, a very complex subject, simple and easy to understand. He was very easy going, funny, and respectful. I looked forward to going to his class. Go to class, take notes, and you'll do great. I would highly recommend this man.

Fun, cool professor. Great personality and makes the class loose and fun. Very very smart, knows a lot about the subject. Uses many examples to drive his point across. Easy class to pass if you take good notes or have a basic understanding of Economics.

There are 3 exams and that's it so you must do good on them all but if you go to class, take notes, and ask questions you'll do fine. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!!!!!!!

This class was a lot better than my ECON 201 class, it is still tough if you're not good at ECON, but with Thornton you will have a better grasp of what is expected out of you. Also he gives great reviews for exams and no surprises. I would definitely take this course with him. You are only graded on 3 exams, but they are all curved.

Best professor in the Econ department. I am molding the rest of my major around him. He has inspired me. His classes are based around a test, 100 point quizzes (he drops one), and one assignment. If you are a very persuasive writer and know basic concepts of the class you will be able to an easy A or B in the class. His lectures are interactive.

If you go to all the lectures and take notes, you won't ever need the book. Grade is solely based on 3 tests, no extra credit or other assignments. Review his study guides for the test -- they're really helpful! This prof is highly qualified to teach the class, so if you're required to take the class might as well take it with him.

Great professor with a good sense of humor. Grade's based only on 3 exams. Doing the study guides is helpful and some questions on the exams are from there. If you pay attention in lecture and take good notes, you won't really need the book. Dreaded taking econ., but he made it simple.
