Easy assignments, very long tests. Does not respond to emails - even when you find answers on tests incorrectly marked wrong. Little to no communication or added context for the course. Youre on your own in this class.

It was a very easy class! All we did was TED talk assignments, three main exams, one BIG Powerpoint Project, and a final exam, obviously. I barely contact Dr. Smither, but I wanna say thanks for helping me from one of her teaching asisstant, Kelly! Overall, Good Job! :D

Class was straightforward and an easy A - took online. BUY THE E-TEXTBOOK so you can look up answers for exams. 3 exams and 1 final, they're very long exams. 6 ted talks super simple and then a power point project. All together easy A but watch the tests sometimes you get stuff wrong that you shouldn't have & it has to be corrected.

Professor Smither has been very helpful and understanding when I had a grade problem for my Power Point project, for which I am very grateful. She responded fast to the e-mails I sent. The course was very interesting. It had TED talk videos that had substance and were relevant to the course material.

Outstanding professor and course. Highly recommended. This course is just perfect - read, study, complete assignments and prepare for exams. You actually have time to learn without the busy work. Respond to online videos and 3 exams.

Smithers didn't care much for the material and left you on your own, her outlines didn't match the tests, and she grades the ted talks assignments with grammar as a criteria, so you can get your entire grade messed up by grammar rather than content

Grade consists of 6 ted talk assignments that are 3-4 sentences each and 3 exams. The content is more challenging than a gen. psych class, for example, but is very do-able. Prof. wasn't very involved and did not give feedback. Easy and straightforward. Read the textbook and the notes she provides and you should be fine. Gives 2 attempts for exams.

Pretty easy class. Take it in Summer (big advantage) Only 9 grades for entire course. 6 Discussions (4 sentences on TedTalk videos) & 3 Exams (60 questions 75 mins 2 attempts) Automatically takes highest score. So if you don't do well on the first try nothing to lose if you take it again. Awesome teacher. Very understanding and wants you to succeed

Dr. Smither's class expectations and grading policy are clear from day one. There are Ted talks you have to watch every other week and respond with a few sentences, as well as a monthly exam and a powerpoint due at the end of the semester. Exam questions come straight from the book. I loved this class, take her if you can!

This was one of the easiest online classes I've ever taken. TedX assignments due every week but they were just 3 to 4 sentences long, so it wasn't hard at all. I never bought the book and got A's on all of the test (quizzlet) and the final powerpoint is a lot of work but she's not a tough grader. Take this class you won't regret it!!

Not much to say about the professor, but seems to reply timely if you need help. Tests are straight from the book. Assignments are very short. Follow the rubric for the project to a T for 100. I suggest using the book for a topic. Final was not too bad if you study from previous tests. Overall easy A if you turn in everything on time.

I took this class online! Overall, she had very clear grading criteria and stated what to expect from the course. Assignments were easy, tests were a little hard but you should be fine if you take detailed notes on the reading. I would recommend it to another student if you want to take DEP online.

Honestly this class isn't too bad. There are several small homework assignments that are really easy. The tests are pretty hard. You definitely have to read the book to do well. The final powerpoint is pretty easy but it's a lot of work and is graded harshly so beware and don't cut corners because you will lose points!

Very organized online course. 5 very short Ted-X talk assignments throughout the semester, with 4 exams, an 8-12 page paper, and a final. Very clear about due dates and even sends emails the week things are due. Tests are not too bad. If you read the book and make notes that expand upon your powerpoints you should do well on tests.

Straightforward course of 3 tests (75%), 4 assignments (25%)which were a syllabus quiz and 3 short commentary on TedX talks - loved that! HOWEVER, the 4 chapter 60 question tests are full of ?s that are either poorly written or weren't covered in the text. My 1st B in a psych class - got an A in statistical AND research methods! Very disappointing!
