Dr. Toot is extremely opinionated and close-minded. She often makes students uncomfortable in discussion because she is rude and dismissive of anyone who doesn't share her views. Despite discussing prejudice and oppression in class, she uses microaggressions and disrespectful language. She is also a super easy grader. This class is a joke.

Very opinionated. Leads closed-discussion classes. You can get away with skimming through the books. As long as you type at least 3 pages of content about the book for each paper, you will get an A. Extremely easy A (easier than High School), though not a nice person. Would never take this professor again. Good Luck!

Jane Toot is a unique professor. Though she is quite opinionated, she encourages participation and engages the class in group discussion. The novels opened up my eyes to the world of healthcare and I learned a lot. The content of the course stimulated my thinking and allowed me to formulate my own opinions regarding important topics.

She is very opinionated and expects you not to deviate from her opinions much. Attendance is mandatory, the class is based on reading novels which are generally interesting and writing papers. Very easy grader. She seems very strict, the class is engaging but an A is easily attainable

Great professor! She is very intelligent, opinionated, and passionate. She has taught for many decades and does not appreciate students who don't participate. While you have to write several papers, the class is an easy-A. Show up to class, don't be on your phone, and listen to her lectures. I highly recommend!

She's make it seems as though she is very open-minded and accepting, but yet will be harsh and put down students for their ideas or even for things they have no control about. Class often seemed to have no purpose or was a waste of time. It's a very easy class though, minimal effort for a good grade. Some of the content is interesting as well.

Easy class, not the best professor. She spends a lot of time lecturing for a discussion class. She makes her views very clear and she claims that it is okay to disagree with her, but she seems to shoot down students who don't support her opinions. I stopped trying to talk in class because of this, but the content was still very interesting.

I loved Dr. Toot. Not only was her class an easy A, but it was equally inspirational. I have so much more respect for elders now. She discusses the assigned reading in depth, so if you aren't willing to read, don't take her class. She will become very annoyed with you if you don't do the reading.

She scared the crap out of me for about the first month, but I realized that she's actually pretty nice if you show interest in class. Participate in class discussion. Don't even look at your phone because she finds it very rude. There were a couple very short papers that were graded very easily. She's passionate about this class.

Dr. Toot is an awesome professor. You might be a little intimidated at first because she can be quite stern, but that's just her method of teaching. If you do the reading (and you HAVE to do the reading) and actively discuss during class time, you will be just fine. She is a very sweet woman and has lots of interesting ethical issues to discuss.

Great prof! Interesting, relevant and very unbiased! Idk what the deal is with the previous posts calling her out of date and rude. She is very knowledgable and very easy to talk to. I didn't agree with her all the time, but she's OK with that. EASY grader! The reading WILL pile up though, so keep up with it! The final will be killer if you don't!
