The dude is a hoot and a half. His lectures are good and informational and he gives you the slides to take notes on. Go in for one on one help if you need it and always try to do any extra credit he throws out to you

I had Dr. Bass for Organic Chemistry which is a somewhat difficult class. As long as you do the practice problems and pay attention in class you will be fine! He is accessible outside of class and will work with you one on one if necessary. His lectures are lively and he is hilarious. He holds reviews almost every week for extra practice and help!

Every class was a powerpoint and group work on chem activities. He really cares about his students and always tells you when he is available for help outside of class. He is super funny and really smart. I loved this class so much and I really am going to miss him next semester. Labs were usually over early too!

Dr. Bass is the kind of professor that wants you to succeed. I have never had a professor that was more for the student than Dr. Bass is. I am not a chemistry major, but Dr. Bass is still by far my favorite professor at Wofford. He makes class fun and enjoyable, and is super understand! I would highly recommend.

I loved Dr. Bass. He's definitely an amazing Chemistry professor if you put in the effort to pass. Chemistry is challenging for most students, but Dr. Bass definitely helps with the difficulty of this class. Definitely recommend.

Bass is amazing. As long as you listen in class and do the homework you will easily get an A. Before each test he gives you a study guide which is exactly like the test. The study guide has every thing you need to know.

Dr. Bass is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had! You can find him in his office on most weekends, there to lead study review sessions and help students who need him. Dr. Bass invests in everyone student that enters his office and is one of the most kind hearted people I have ever known.

Dr. Bass is hilarious and really nice. Lectures are never dry and you learn a lot. Don't be fooled though, tests are difficult. Dr. Bass is more than willing to help you though. He will take the time to explain not only the correct answers, but how you get the correct answers too. If you are going to take organic, Dr. Bass is the way to go.

Dr. Bass is the very best teacher at Wofford. He loves chemistry, loves teaching, and loves his students. He will go as far out of his way as possible for his students and holds many review sessions. He loves his wife more than anything and is incredibly funny! Organic is a relatively difficult subject, but he makes it fun and enjoyable.

Dr. Bass is easily one of the best professors at Wofford. His class isn't easy but he is more than willing to work with you whenever you need help. I took him for Gen Chem 123 and I am a Business/Economics major. I only needed the class to reach a requirement for my BS in Business. He was extremely helpful and always available if you needed him.

Without a doubt the best professor at Wofford. He genuinely cares about the students' learning and somehow keeps ochem fun. He works so much harder than any other professor and is unbelievably patient. Could not sing his praises highly enough. Wofford is so lucky to have him, and I was so lucky to have him! (Be prepared to work, though!)

This review is a little late considering I had Dr. Bass for Organic Chemistry in 1995. Looks like he is still the same outgoing, extremely helpful professor. He is, by far, the best professor I've ever had and I have went to USC Spartanburg, Wofford, and USC Columbia. Side note: I graduated from USC with a BS in Chemistry.

Comment:

Dr. Bass is the most dedicated professor at Wofford. He holds study sessions for students on Friday afternoons and before tests, a big help. I have witnessed him in his office at midnight, still working. Organic chemistry is an impossible subject, but his funny personality and perseverance in teaching make you comfortable in trying to learn it.
