Professor Sorrentino is a pleasure to have, she is extremely knowledgeable about many areas of history and is a very enthusiastic teacher. She does assign a lot of supplementary readings in her upper level courses but I'd attribute this to just how fervid she is about history.

Professor Sorrentino gives interesting lectures and is extremely helpful. Read the main textbook, it will help you greatly on exams. However, some of the extra readings can be extremely boring, confusing, and not relevant to the class.

she's a wonderful professor! there is a lot of work involved but she pulls for all of her students. the only downside to her is that her voice is so soft while she lectures- it kind of reminded me of story time before taking a nap in kindergarten. otherwise she's one of the sweetest and most down to earth professors i've ever had!
