Always troubling when an education professor talks about the public "skoos." Exercises her little brief authority with a vengeance: if you call children "kids" in her class, it's all over. Bizarre preoccupations, rabidly anti-intellectual, weirdly Southern. Avoid.

There is a fine line between being challenging and working students until they are bitter and no longer care about the subject. She has certainly crossed this line. She isn't interested in students' growth as much as students conforming to her views.

The lecture are pointless. I learned nearly nothing from listening and nothing I couldn't figure out in another class. The teacher is a hard grader. It is very tough. She grades some students harder than others. She does not have a lot of time to meet with students.

she is a great professor and you will learn a lot if you work hard but she is incredibly unaccomodating and you'd better be willing to do things her way or you will not succeed. and don't argue with her: she's right. always.
