Worst teacher i have ever had. She is uncaring, rude, and a hypocrite. She wants everyone to always attend class but yet cancels class. Her tests are hard, and her lectures boring and too long. I absolutely regret taking her class. She also does not want any phones in class, no matter what.

Mrs. Oxler will choose music that pushes you, if you are a voice major. Do not expect to get by on a good voice. If you are talented she will push you harder and make you work for it. She tends to "live in the past" and will remind you of her greatness, be prepared to not let her intimidate you.

Oxler is a well trained musician, not only in voice, but in piano. She knows her stuff and is very cocky about it. She expects nothing but perfection from her students. Do not come to her class unprepared or expecting an easy 'A'.

I have taken voice from her for a long time and she is a really great voice teacher! She does expect you to work, but if you are willing to improve on what she recommends, learn you music, and be there for your lessons, then she is the teacher for you! And if you ever need help or clarification she is more that willing to help and re explain.

She definately knows her stuff and is very talented herself but don't even think about telling her anything personal. She gets to close and to involved with her students. I loved music but meeting her made me realize I didn't want to be as miserable as she seemed! She also talks about students to other students and wasn't professional at times.

I took Mrs. Oxler for both Voice and Ear Training. She is a wonderful teacher, and she discussed with me/ helped me with my future college plans, which shows that she's willing to help students. Just pay attention and do your work, and you'll be absolutely fine.

At first when you meet her, you like her, cause she's so nice and she's friendly, but when you start to actually take her class your gonna hate her, because she may make comments or she'll skip around and sometimes, she has mood swings. overall though, when your done with her class you love her, because she expected the best from you.
