Comment:

He does get side tracked but I feel like its because he feels comfortable talking to his students and you could tell he loves what he does. He makes world religion easy to understand and helps students get the best grade they can (make up tests, more time for hw, excused absences) he such a sweet soul.

I honestly didn't learn much, Dr. Claus gets sidetracked easily and talks a lot about himself, but his quizzes are simple and you have 10-20 minutes open book. He also offers extra credit assignments to make up for doing poorly on a quiz. Overall, he's a nice, genuine, caring man who has good intentions and really loves teaching.

Comment:

One of the best professors you could find in any institution of higher learning. He makes learning about all the major religions in the world interesting and comprehensive. Not only is he a great professor, but, overall, he's an amazing person that cares for each once of his students. I highly recommend him!!

He is super funny and incredibly nice. he gives quizzes the first couple are take home. The others are in class but super easy he gives you reviews that are exactly like the test. There is no way of failing. One outline to do but it was super easy. He is very clear with what he wants on it. TAKE YOU WILL NOT REGRET!!

SOOOO AMAZING. you learn so much about life! claus has had an incredible life and will tell you all about it, and you will learn so much. his tests are fairly easy, only 20 questions and open book! redemption papers if you badly to bump up your grade! points for attendance too. i wish there was a religion 2 class i could take with him!

This is by far the best professor I think I have ever had in MDC. He makes the class very interesting and fun an he truly loves his students. There is 7 quizzes 1 outline and if you fail the quizzes he gives you a chance to write redemption papers which replace your bad grade. I would definitely recommend you to take this class

Claus is alright. I took him for World Religions and he is very knowledgeable. However he goes on tangents forever and forever. He gives you sheets that provide you with what he is going to talk about. He probably spends 20 minutes talking about the content of the sheet and 40 mins about his life or the weddings he officiates and his story repeat.

I'm not one to attend class or to be a diligent student. Something changed when I began his class, I actually wanted to learn. You honestly feel like going to his class rather than feeling obligated! Currently enrolled to take his next class next semester. A man of prudence. I HIGHLY recommend him.

The subject matter was easy, the professor himself was extremely confusing. He kept going on tangents and would speed up and almost confuse religions, constantly backtracking and finding him talking about Christianity or Hinduism no matter what we were actually discussing that day. He's a nice person. But as a professor a bit too eccentric.

Best Professor ever!!!! He works with thr student not against the student. Always fun environment, always has candy available and humorous jokes. If you fail a quiz in his' class, you can make it up with a redemption paper. He loves animals and teaching college students. Encourages the student to earn an A. Great professor, never a dull moment! No final, no midterm, 1 outline paper, 6 exams. All exams except a few are open book for a few minutes, "redemption papers" to raise exam grades. Very smart, very involved, very fair! You will never forget Dr Claus! TAKE THIS CLASS!
