Comment:

You have to go to class and pay attention to what he writes on the board in order to pass the exams. If you do all of this its easy to get a good grade! Offers a lot of extra credit through SONA and extra credit exams.

Everyone complains about how tough his tests are but if you go to class, pay attention, and take notes then you will pass the class. He keeps lecture interesting and goes in a lot of depth. You need to study for the exams in order to pass and you need the textbook. Got A in the class. If you are genuinely interested in psychology, take his class!

He is very unorganized with his notes/lecture. Luckily the topics we talked about I didn't mind reading the textbook, so buy the textbook. He went step by step with the textbook. I've passed all his exams with a C or B. He didn't give study guides but gave 2 extra credit exams, up to 36 points worth of E.C in his class.

I LOVED this class. I would recommend this class specifically if you are a psych major & have an interest in clinical psych. He does great at explaining the material that he teaches, but you will probably not have clear cut notes. Attendance isn't forced but he tests you on HIS notes, not the book, and there is an extra credit exam from the book

Dr. Chase is a knowledgeable professor, but some might think he's unorganized. His lectures are important as the grades you receive are exam grades & a little extra credit. You have to listen & decide what's important from his lectures, he will not spoon feed it to you. Read the textbook & pay attention to what he reiterates class after class.

He is very nice but he isn't a good professor. He is very sloppy, unorganized and his lectures drag on. You have to attend class so you get the right information for exams because he changes the material from the book to his own. He does give one extra credit exam but you have to study for it on your own time and doesn't give a study guide for it.

Overall, I've liked his classes (because I love Psychology), but he is unorganized, has sloppy handwriting, and sometimes he ends up rambling and getting off topic during lectures. On the plus side, he always asks if anyone has questions about previous lectures and gives extra credit and is great help during his office hours.

This man is UNBEARABLE! I am generally an AB student, but I received a horrible grade in his class. His notes are all over the place & he gets off topic during his lectures. His tests are difficult & his study guides are extremely long. He was also no help. He is the WORST professor I have had thus far at RU and I DO NOT recommend him to anyone.

He says if you take notes and read you are fine for the tests, but notetaking is nearly impossible to follow because he is constantly changing his mind about what he wants to talk about and is all over the board. He does not seem like a genuinely friendly person. Not approachable. I got a D+ in this course when I am normally an A-B student.

Horrible professor. Unless you know the material prior to the class, you are screwed, and even if you do, you're probably still screwed. I attended class and read all the chapters, never got above a 70 in the class. Also, he refused to round up my 59.5 average. what a dud, don't take him.

I thought that as a person he was pretty cool, but then when he taught his notes were all over the board and there was little to no organization on his parts in his notes. Also, he lectures the entire class and their are no application activities or ways to understand the material better. Study guides were 20-26 pages long of notes he used in class

Dr. Chase is quite disorganized.Sometimes it's hard to take notes and study for the test.However, he's very nice and helpful and goofy which makes the class more fun; I enjoyed the class overall.Test are hard but it's quite possible to get an A or a B; you just have to put some effort in it. I studied from the book for all the test and did well.

He is very disorganized (especially taking notes). His tests are very hard to study for. I still don't know if its best to study the study guide or the notes or both. Pysch shouldn't be this hard. He gives extra credit. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

Tests are so HARD! tricky questions. Hes random and he's hard to listen to. Writes sloppy handwring all over the board so you cant even put it together. He teaches so fast and if you ask questions his answers aren't even clear. DON'T TAKE HIM!
