i loved this class. we devoted one class to urban myths and got to discuss richard gere & the gerbil (or was it a hamster?) and how every town seems to have a notorious "hot dog girl". very, very interesting and not much is off limits.

Even if you don't enjoy the material in class, you'll enjoy the eye candy I call Jeff Deby. He is a sexy, hot man with solid muscles. Take the class and you'll be in a daze for about 3 hours a week.

Made us read interesting things, then discuss them amongst ourselves in a boring and tedious manner. Would make a pretty good elementary school teacher. Draws smiley faces when marking exams. I suppose this is not a recommendation.

THe most BORING classes ever.He talks to the class as if you're kids,wastes A LOT of time on discussion,and does not encourage independent thought.The class is VERY unchallenging,but an easy courseload.The exam marking is inconsistent and questionsunclear

Awesome, enthusiastic, great rapport with students. Very helpful one-on-one. But oh those exams! Questions designed to trip you up--tricky. Very intense class, but very rewarding, and he's a really good egg.

His exams are too detailed and it is almost impossible to give answers that he expects. Too many MEANINGLESS class discussions are just waste of time. Take his course if you are interested in brutal-markings and inconsistent teaching methods.

People say he takes his work too seriously... It is his passion and that is great! he is very helpful, if one needs explqnation one can rely on him. Just a pity it is hard to guess how to study with him as he often leaves us in the dark on that
