Jeffrey is a pretty good professor. He gives you feedback weekly to ensure you are understanding the material. You do end up reading quite a bit, but the assignments are straightforward. The midterm and final you have about 2 weeks to complete and on the final he gives extra credit, you can even use portions of your weekly assignments on the exams.

I think Professor Berger was a great teacher. He was clear about what he wanted from us from the start which made the rest of the semester a breeze. It is a lot of reading, but the assignments are pretty easy to complete and the class is easy to pass with an A as long as you do all of the assignments!!

I thought it would be an interesting course to take and I was excited to learn. Instead I ended up highly disliking ethics. Professor makes the class very difficult and his grading system is highly unfair. I did my work but I still received a 0 as if I hadnt done the work simply because I gave an opinion. Atleast I could have gotten half credit.

There is alot of reading! both the midterm and final had to be 3 pages. weekly assignments and discussions due. he can be picky about certain things not mentioned in the midterm/final and assignments. I would recommend his class online, if you just read the material and at least try to understand it then you'll be fine.

Really enjoyed this class. I learned a lot and not just the material, how to properly engage in debates and logically present your ideas...I really feel ready to take on the Facebook community now. He was great, I enjoyed his feedback and perspectives/explanations on topics. Show a basic understanding of the material you read and you'll be OK.

I passed this class with a B lectures are boring only 3 exams which is good no homework. However he is very disrespectful to students. I do not recommend taking him if your one of those very opinionated people. Don't ask questions in class he will make you feel like an idiot. He says "ummm" a lot which is annoying. That's about it. Good luck!

Go save yourself $40 and rent out the original textbook for $11-13... Easy but boring lectures. Choice of 3 small in-class essay exam or makeup paper. Very hard to fail this class unless you did poorly on that makeup paper. Record when he reviews the test to write the paper. No extra credit. Lets you know ahead of time wha questions will be on exam

A lot of hard reading but mostly in short spurts. I took this class for transfer to LaSalle, required. The professor does not believe in God and if you do he challenges what you believe. I didn't have a problem with it because he gives full credit when you just do the assignment showing you read & tried to understand. Easy A just read and write.

Very good grading criteria. His exams are not tedious if you read and understand the arguments. As long as you fill up the two (small) pages (one front and back) for the blue book, he passes you with A-B. I personally do not like him as he does make you feel dumb for asking questions and disrespects students, but easy course.

Taking him for Phil101? Read, read, read. Know the arguments of the philosophers inside and out. Also, youtube is your dear, dear friend for condensed summaries of philosopher's and their philosophies. It is nearly impossible to cram, so keep up with the reading. A challenging and entertaining professor.

Professor seems bored with teaching. Everything read in class is either about the existence of God or sci-fi, heavy on the existence of God. I thought there would be more structure around philosopher arguments but there isn't. Missing an assignment or getting a low grade is detrimental to the overall grade. Meet the word count and you pass.

Comment:
Most of the class is about God which is kind of offensive. I know where trying to challenge the way we think, but a broader range of subjects would have more impact for a 101 class. It's boring and ruined my interest. Only two exams which count for about 50% of your grade, he grades harshly. One mistake and your grade drops immensely.

I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. I was so excited in taking this class until it really got started. all the writings was about God and why God doesn't exist. If you have a strong faith in God don not take him he will not agree with you and you might get a bad grade for arguing for why you believe in God. I'm glad his class is over

Online class it was very interesting. The readings were somewhat difficult but as long as you comment he still gives the points. Nice instructor very hard to fail class. Mid term and Finals are questions from the readings do well on them that's where most of the points come from.

It was an online class. He is a very good teacher. He is very clear about what needs to be done to succeed. The only way someone could fail is if they didn't do the work. The reading was hard at times, but he will not hold it against you if you don't understand. He only care that you tried your best to understand the material. Highly recommend

he is a very good professor.if you go to every class and take good notes you will pass.he gives you the test questions before he starts each unit.you get 4 tests;write whatever he said in class and you will pass.for each test you will write a 2 pages essay in the blue book but the book is very small and if you write big it's good just give good pts
