Comment:

First time ever taken a college course that i felt i had to teach myself more then the instructor taught. Does 1 example question per lecture and lectures are daily. Keeps chapters locked, so working ahead is impossible. Emails information 11p.m. or later. Gives great extra credit oppurtunities for tests but over all, horrible class.

Comment:

Well, she is a professor in a class where she has also written the book and assigns it. Asked her about conflict of interest and she said she was telling the dean on me. I had a four year old text book. Not good enough. The book is only graded by completion, not accuracy. Which means, you will buy her book and you will deface it for a test score.

She was a great professor for College Algebra. Things were well explained. Also, you knew exactly what would be on the test, so there was never panic about what the exams would cover. Overall, a good choice.

This was the most difficult, frustrating time of my life. She gives way too much homework, she wrote her own book and believes it's gold, but it's a cubic zirconia. Shes creates very hard tests and midterms, no leniency, too much group work, obsessive over long word problems, book doesn't show examples, I have never met a worse teacher STOP URSELF

Almy has good energy. She seems to enjoy her profession. She's there to help if you reach out to her. She Interacts a lot with the students in class. There is quite a bit of homework, but nothing too insane. The group projects are annoying. She is disciplined with grading and won't hold back. You get what you earned. I enjoyed her.

She wants her students to succeed. Gave multiple opportunities for students to improve their grades. Very positive and energetic. Used real world examples for concepts. Exams are mult. choice, and she tells you what to expect, but they are still tough-be ready to study. Would definitely take her again.

Professor almy is very upbeat and positive. her class was easy at the beginning but got very hard. her tests are worth a lot. you have to earn your grade. i did not like the fact that the class average was a 55% for one of the tests and she didn't curve it at all. she flies through materials, but explains things thoroughly

The class starts off easy, but gradually gets more difficult. She talks REALLY fast, but is very thorough and understanding. She gives packets for notes, which I appreciate. Her tests are challenging, and there is quite a few homework assignments on my math lab. What i did not like, was the fact that tests are 70% of your grade......

I loved her!! I hadn't taken a math class in 6 years, but I got a B in the class. The homework load is kind of heavy but it's easy if you don't wait until the last minute!!

She piles on assignments. She flat out says that if you don't spend 15+ hrs. a week you won't pass. I wish she would consider that most people do not have the luxury of having 15+ hours of free time to complete the work. Between a full time job(40+ hrwk), other obligations, and other classes this is impossible. I find it very inconsiderate of her.

projects in math are useless. very unnecessary for a MATH class. I advise you not to take it online if you really want to learn in this class. I took it as a convenience for myself and she loads things on like you have no life or any other classes. not my fav.

Great professor! I had to take developmental math and I understand so many things about math now that I never did before. She makes you work hard, but she's helpful and makes sure everyone understands what she's talking about. Very energetic and entertaining as well. Highly recommended!

Beat math teacher ever. Very patient and funny. I hadn't been in school for awhile so had to take some pre-100's. This was geometry, but she offered an online free algebra prep service so I could take the placement test. I passed into college level math. VERY helpful no matter what you ask of her!
