Comment:
At first Broida can be intimidating, but if you get used to his sudden outbursts and just enjoy his sense of humor you'll get used to him in no time. If you show up late to class he will call you out so be warned. This class is an easy A if you keep track of assignments and apply yourself a little. Broida is also very good at responding to emails.

Stat in Psych. The way he repeats questions a million times before making us use these stupid clickers is making me about ready to jump out the window. Do not take his class unless you can tolerate random bursts of screaming, stupid voices, obnoxious behavior, and the horrible horrible repetition. Only three classes in and I am dying.

This was the best online class I have ever taken! He has great "dad humor", he is very willing to help you out wherever possible, and he gets back to you quickly. He offers a ton of extra credit and is very clear. I ended his class with an A and didn't even have to do the last couple of assignments.

So easy if you do what he's expecting (which he makes crystal clear)! I took intro with him and made sure to pick another class of his. I rarely have a teacher that makes being a student so easy. And he's really helpful, if you don't understand (don't bother talking up in class it's deconstructive), go talk to him after! He's the best!

Uses clickers during class that count as points towards your grade, offers lots of extra credit and lets you take practice quizzes online as many times as you want (which are the exact questions on the quizzes that are due each week) makes it easy to learn, and if you do the work, you should get an A. The lab isn't that bad. He is so helpful.

The online class is one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. There are MANY tests and quizzes, but lots of chance for extra credit. Broida is an awesome professor. I do not recommend taking his online class, but if you can get an in person class with him I would do it.

He is a very interesting teacher. He keeps your attention throughout the entire lecture. He gives you a lot of opportunities to get a good grade. He also responds very quickly to emails and is willing to help you succeed. There is no reason a person shouldn't do well in the class. Excellent professor.

John was an awesome professor. He was quick at responding to emails and answering questions. The material was a bit dry, but the class was easy if you are a hard worker. Watch out for his sarcasm, it's not subtle at all.

Absolutely hilarious. His classes always made my day brighter. He's extremely available and is willing to help with any questions you may have. He gives you every opportunity to do well/get as many points as you can. If you're willing to do with work then an A should be no problem. Amazing professor. Clearly passionate about his job

This guy is not helpful at all. Likes to use intimidation and reverse psychology on students. Will contact you when you are doing poorly, but otherwise says nothing. His teaching style leaves room for improvement.

He relies on test and quiz scores and that is all. He is not interested in content of work, just in whether or not a student complied with quantity of sentences, etc. on exams. No input other than reporting of scores. Very uninvolved.

for this class its important that you show up, you cannot skip this class or you will not get enough points in the end, he takes attendance with Iclickers, but his class is fun and i enjoyed his teaching styles A LOT, everything for the quizzes is on the tests, overall this class was great and easy because i payed attention

Professor Broida is deifnately unique in his teaching style. I loved using the clickers in his class and the fact the he sounds like the dinosaur from toy story :) He isnt afraid to be honest and he definately knows what he is talking about when it comes to psychology. Definately take him for 101!

I highly recommend Broida as a professor. Every one of his classes is structured the same- I have taken 3 already with him and know exactly what to expect. He ALWAYS responds to emails promptly and is usually quite helpful if you have questions. He has an extremely extensive knowledge of psychology, and he cares about the success of his students.

This professor can be very degrading. He talks in great detail about sex quite often, which does not have to do with psychology. Students who got D's or F's on their first exam were told they were on his "shit list" and that they were bad students.
