I really liked Dorney. She was a little hard to follow sometimes because we didn't follow the syllabus too much, and she's a bit dotty. But only sometimes. Otherwise, she's great. Her tangents always have to do with the subjects at hand, and you learn a lot about that and how to be a better writer if you just listen.

This lady would REFUSE to tell us when something was due and constantly tell us to look at the syllabus which we didn't even follow. She will basically give everyone C's on the first few papers and then give higher grades so there's "improvement".She would tell us stories which had nothing to do with anything.Had her last year but HAD to comment.

This instructor is very confusing, runs on tangents and grades horribly. She does not help when asked. Contradicts herself a lot. She grades negatively and does not help when asked. I would NEVER take another class from her.

I can't exactly fathom why I didn't check out this professor prior to taking her -- one of my biggest mistakes in college. INCREDIBLY negative -- easily one of the most negative professors I've ever had in my entire life. When grading papers, will not point out a single positive aspect. Evil grader, too. Avoid like the bubonic plague.

She is a really hard grader, have gotten C's on majority of my papers when am a A/B student, it is hard to tell what she is looking for. I liked the class overall, she is funny in class. Reading is relatively easy. She always spoils the ends of the books which is annoying. Probably wouldn't take her again.

I am an A student and got a C- on my first paper so I hated her at first. But if you just get to know her and what she is looking for you'll do fine. I think that she is probably the worst teacher I have ever had in my life. She made everyone feel bad about their writing in my class and basically told us that our papers sucked. She only pointed out our weaknesses and never our strengths. I would like to say she discouraged me completely as a writer. Do NOT take this course.

She's a very spacey professor. She revises her syllabus so much that we had 7 different ones by the end of the course. She doesn't respect her students and often critizes them. Do not take this teacher it's a waste of your time and money. Her quizzes are easy as are her essays. However, she grades very sporadically, is very biased and unstable.

Prof. Dornay is a nice lady who is understanding and helpful. However, I found the class a little unclear at times. Often, she would ask us questions about the material or tell us to ponder something over the weekend and never actually give the answer.
