Keep up with the readings. Get to class early (often comes in 1-2 mins early & starts lecture). I don't think questions are embraced because everything he tests you over, he says it in the lecture that he's probably given the same way 30 times before. Basically, be early, be quiet, take notes, & write the 1 small paper at the end. You'll be fine.

If you need to take Shakespeare, TAKE HIM. He's a traditional-type of teacher who just lectures while the class takes notes. LOTS of notes. Be on time, even early. He is passionate about his subject, slips in some humor here and there, and just overall seems like a great guy. I enjoyed his class, and it was easy to get an A if you read the plays.

If you like Shakespeare, he will show you how to love Shakespeare. If something is not clear when you are reading at home, just wait for the lecture and you will understand it?almost like he has ESP on what is confusing. You do not even have to ask. Great old-school lecturer. Listen and learn.

Sit down, shut up, and learn. Great class. Short essay exams, one essay paper, essay final. Write what you know, and this is easy if you do the first three suggestions.

Arrive on time or early!! He will start to lecture two minutes before class is slated to start. Other than that, he is a great lecturer. Tests are easy if you know the material. One short paper assigned must be close to perfect!

The teacher is awesome. You go over the stories in class and the biggest problem was that no one would read them before hand. READ THEM and you will pass! He is very passionate and explains good. If he's repeating something underline it because its going to be on the test.

Go to class, read the material. If you're good at retaining information from the story and his lectures then you shouldn't have a problem with getting As on the tests. The tests were in hand written form...be detailed.

Show up, let him talk, don't leave the room or interrupt, and you will make an A. The tests are identification and as long as you read the text you'll pass. His lectures can be really boring at times, but his dedication to Shakespeare is intense and I respect him for it. I'll definitely be taking him again.

If u dont come to class u will probably do bad on tests! I like him b/c all i had to do was come and listen and i passed! REALLY GOOD PROF. Just listen to the stories.

Dr. Greogory strictly lectures, and the cannon is completely white male authors. He is an old school teacher-no discussion. That said, I really enjoyed the careful reading of the classics. It was my easiest class. Only one paper due- but he is meticulous! Don't leave any dangling participles or misplaced comas , or he'll zing you for sure!

He explained every story in detail. His tests were identification and essays. Identification was over people and quotes & you had to pick at least 2 out of the 4 essays to write. If you have to take a Lit class i would recommend taking it with him. He did take roll, and if you have 6 or more abseneces your grade would drop.

Show up to class (he counts attendance, if you miss more than 6 classes, your grade suffers) and take notes. He goes through each book read slowly and is a great lecturer. You can tell he is passionate about literature! Tests consist of ID questions (characters, setting, quotes) and choosing 2 out of 5 short essay questions. Easy B or A!

I took gregory during the summer for an 8 am class so I really thought I was gonna die since i didn't wanna get up early or waste my summer but I absolutely LOVED this class. He's sooo interesting to listen to and his tests are very easy as long as you read the text and listen in class! Definitely take this class if you can.

This was a good class. He has a very straightforward style in lecturing and in grading- show up, take notes, and do the assignments. The tests were easy and there was only one paper due at the end of the semester and it was a poetry analysis. One paper for an upper level English class! You can't beat that.

Very passionate prof. His tests consist of 10 identification questions, which ask about the characters and quotes throughout the reading, and you have to answer 2 short essay questions. There are also 2 papers due throughout the semester. Attend class and take good notes. Easy A.

Most PASSIONATE English professor I've ever had. Lectures are fantastic. His tests are a simple format - identify/discuss 10 characters or quotes. His class is so enjoyable you won't want to miss it! If you show up to class and take good notes, you will do very well. Short paper at the end of semester is very easy, though he gives little feedback.
