A loveable guy and really nice, but I took his media in life class and it was super tough. He had to change the tests because so many people failed them. If he taught a different class, I would take him again. I think this class topic was really hard to make questions for, and my test grades show it. :( Also, DON'T BUY THE BOOK. We don't use it.

He teaches in a manner that if you're super passionate about the topic you'll do well but if you're not you'll have a much harder time getting a decent grade. He's very nice though and would help you out if you asked but the class itself with him was not an experience I would want to repeat.

Owens is an awesome guy and professor. He knows what he's talking about and delivers lectures in an entertaining and informative way. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the tests. They are kind of long and more in depth than you would expect.

I've taken a ton of classes with Dr. O. He is a difficult teacher, but what I got from his classes was more than what I got from most other professors. Dr. O genuinely cares about his students and is extremely friendly. When I got my internship, he was the first person I told just cause I knew he'd care about my opportunity.

Dr. O is an awesome teacher and person. He cares more about his students than any other proff. I have ever had. His classes are very difficult, but if you put in time and pay attention, you will do great. He only asks to put in as much as he does. Great teacher and great man.

...I also had Doc Owens as our faculty advisor for BearCast, and let me tell you -- there are few professors in the world who care as much about their students as Doc Owens. When I first went in to Broadcast Sales, I had no interest whatsoever in going into Sales. However, his class got me really fired up about it and it's what I've been doing for a living ever since I graduated. I credit him for that!
