His test are a bit specific, so you REALLY need to know the stuff. Show up and at least pretend to pay attention bc he's willing to help. Sign up for WSJ and go to his office hours. Take notes of everything on the board. He repeats and emphasizes the things he puts on the tests when he "reviews." He's a bit tougher on u if u don't put in the work.

Dr. Bautista is not that bad of a teacher. His class is one of those "if you miss it you'll be lost" class. If you keep up in class, take notes, ASK QUESTIONS WHEN YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, and sign up for the Wall Street Journal you'll be fine. His test are hard, but with proper studying and the extra credit you'll be fine. Good luck!

I think Dr. Bautista is the greatest professor at Xavier! He's definitely my favorite! He has over 20 point curves on every test. Needless to say I got an A. I recommend him to anyone. He challenges you but he is very fair and tells you everything on the tests. I took his night class and he was fantastic. Wish he was teaching other subjects.

He's terrible and doesn't help much at all. He is not clear in his information that he teaches and doesn't really say what he will be testing for. Students who tend to go to his office hours tend to do a tad bit better. So your interest in class and he'll be a bit more lenient. DO NOT TAKE HIS NIGHT CLASS. Goodluck if you have him

Take full advantage of his office hours and you will at least get a B i failed one test got a C on another and an A on the third test and i still came out with a B simply because i took advantage of office hours and that i really want the grade. i agree with the previous poster about this being my hardest class...GO TO OFFICE HOURS ..PLEASE

Have respect for him and he will have respect for you. His tests are hard; however, he give many opportunities for everyone in class to earn points that will greatly help our grades. An "A" is definitely possible!

His class was the HARDEST class since I been in college!He teaches as if you have a Bachelors in the subject! His lectures are a drag! $117.89 I spent on Skittles and Starburst to stay half awake. He is very thorough! Take full advantage of his office hours!!! And dont even buy the text because it is of no help!!! OVERALL!!! D+ = do not take!

Don't skip class! He doesn't give many assignments, but his tests are hard! You must understand the subject, not just merely memorize things! But he gives bonus pts opportunities. In other words, he believes hard work should be rewarded! Oh.. and this guy knows what he's talking about.
