I received an A.... only because I taught myself, utilized tutors, had a great study group to depend on, read the text book word for word.... NOT because of this professor. For all I know this class should have been categorized under independent study! I'm not sure if he's still teaching, but i caution all you to keep your distance.

What he goes over in class is easy to understand, but he doesn't go over enough to be helpful on exams. You're mainly teaching yourself the material and the exams are not easy especially with the all or nothing problems. I don't recommend his classes for people who are not strong in chemistry.

Yeah, currently taking the class, more then 1/2 have dropped by midterms. They are right, he DOES make you feel stupid when you ask question, and the ONLY way plausible to PASS this class is if you treat it like a independent study class... wont learn sh*t from him, so DO your READING and you will most def pass. Teaches STRAIGHT from the book.

Unfortunately, all that has been said is true. He makes you feel incredibly stupid for asking him questions and he will point YOU out to the entire class saying that you have no common sense...abusive instructor. Not helpful, does not welcome questions, does not explain anything clearly, & expects you to know what he's talking about. STAY FAR AWAY!

I took him in Winter, and at first he really took his time, but toward the end he had to rush to get all the material in. If he asks the class for an answer, don't mumble or else he'll make really sarcastic comments about how dumb he thinks you are. Anyway, he says he's retired now.
