Pluta is very knowledgeable and there is no doubt that you will learn a lot if you put in the work. Actually, you kind of have to put the work in or you won't survive. His tests are frequent and extremely tricky!!! If you want an A, I would suggest you go elsewhere.

I love this professor. He has such an interesting perspective and provides a logical framework for Microeconomics, it would be hard not to learn something in his class. I even caught myself talking about Thorstein Veblen over a drinking game. It's not an easy A but if you read, come to class, and participate, it's definitely possible.

Dr. Pluta's class is a good one. If you do the work you will be fine. He is a professor who truly knows his stuff and knows how to teach it, a rare combination. You learn a lot and it worth puttig in the extra work for what you get out of the class.

The running joke was we were learning Plutanomics. Very strict professor, daily quizzes incredibly hard and the test had very ambiguous questions. Though, with some hard work you learn a lot in his class.

Pluta is the hardest professor I have ever had. The daily pop quizzes are all free response and many of the test questions were inconsistent with the text. Though, if anyone has any vague interest in economics, Plutarch is the ultimate authority. And you should take his class.

It's a hard class to get an A in but not impossible. His lectures are clear and helpful. You will get a pop quiz just about every class (unless he's handing back a test that day). Overall, it might not be your easiest or favorite class but you'll learn a lot.

Terrible, his quizzes are not consistent and are tricky, he is the worst professor I have had at St. Edward's University in 4 years of attendance. NEVER take him!!!

PLUTAAA! Bottom line, his class is difficult! However, if you read and prepare for his daily quizzes you will do fine! Definitely have to earn the A in this class. Study sessions available & his test are 50 multiple choice questions. There are a total of 5 exams, but he lets you drop your lowest one. If you want to learn, I recommend him fashoo!

He is such a wonderful professor, but really difficult. Microeconomics is a difficult course to begin with. Nevertheless, I surprisingly ended the year with an A, you just have to stick with him. He's funny, a nice guy, and a wonderful professor that will constantly make you see things in a different perspective.

I had Pluta for Microeconomics and I had an extremely hard time in his class. Even though they're called "pop quizzes", YOU WILL HAVE ONE EVERY SINGLE CLASS - so be prepared. He expects you to know the book just as well as he does, and it's not easy to understand. If you go see him in his office he'll just tell you to go see one of his TA's.

Must read chapters to do well on quizzes. He wrote the boo, so he asks tough questions. Volunteer as much as possible for problem sets, because it can really help your grade. Learned a lot, but you need to stay on top of the reading just to get by

The class and material are not necessarily hard. However, you must put the effort into reading each night to do well on the quizzes. Attendance is mandatory, be on time! Put the extra time into learning what the graphs really display and you will do well in any Economics class. Overall, Dr. Pluta is a valuable asset to have on your side.

Hard. Hard. Hard. You really can learn some things though, and I did quite like him as a person, but man the quizzes were definitely all over the place and the graphs were very confusing, which perhaps wouldn't be so bad if there were more consistently graded HW. I liked the class though, other than my grade. If you have hard classes, steer away.

A very challenging course, the hardest I've had so far. Do the readings because he gives quizzes over them in class and he can ask ANYTHING on them. Overall, I really enjoyed Pluta's class and it's obvious that he enjoys what he does. I recommend him to anyone that wants to actually learn Micro and is willing to work for the grade.

Pluta is a great teacher, he knows his subject quite well and conveys it well with examples and anecdotes. It's not too difficult to do well, the quizzes are hard but if you correct them and study the material the tests are not very difficult. Attendance is a must

He wrote the textbook, which is good because he has a mastery of the content that I have never seen in a professor before. You definitely get out of the class what you put in. You will actually learn things in this class, which is a rarity.

Great teacher. He does the whole lecture thing. All you have to do is read the assignment before class and things will go well. Tests are hard and quizzes aren't any easier but with work and luck there is a good possibility you'll pass. Class isn't as difficult as it seems and you will learn something.

this is a tough class to make an a in, but you will get out what you put in. you have to keep up with the readings, which can be fairly heavy, because he often gives pop quizzes the day after the reading is due. tests are hard but not impossible. he is a fair teacher and a good guy. i had to put in a lot of effort, but i learned a lot.
