Basically open drawing except that you're challenged to add your own extra spark to it. Really helped me develop my own drawing style.

Anyone who doesn't like Bill is a student who isn't motivated to do work to begin with. He doesn't force you, he encourages you. Yes he'd easy, but with a full courseload sometimes you need a teacher who is more laid back and gives an A as long as you're interested and talk to him about what you're working on.

really nice guy but doesn't help you improve much. You only get out what you put into the class plus a few crazy ideas that he comes up with. If you want a class where you can just do whatever in class and dont have to hand in homework on time you can take it. Beware though, he makes even non life study classes do figure drawing!

boring. hardly encourages or motivates students. he's good if you like doing the same thing everyday in class and enjoy wasting college money doing something you could do on your own time.

This class is like an open studio, sometimes he gives assignments but they usually suck and are uninspiring, but easy. You do your own thing, he doesnt really help you draw the figure at all

Great class if your interested in drawing nudes..not much homework....pretty laid back.....Richards doesn't challenge you to much..it's all about your own exploration of drawing. You get back..what you put into it....

Life Study class was like open drawing. Attendance taken normally, he talks about a few things going on at Pratt or major shows at the museums. HW is to keep a sketchbook. Final is your portfolio of work from the class. Spend the class making your style.
