Speaking of his classes in general, one of my favorite teachers. Laziness and absenteeism will cause you to fail. Don't expect his classes to be super easy, but if your intention is to actually learn something you will learn a lot! Tough but fair. His requirements are clearly laid out and he wont give you any slack for ignoring them. RTDL

This class was hard work but thought the professor's grading was reasonable. The class average on the three assignments was in the 80's. The final wasn't too bad either as long as you had the lecture notes open on your computer and know how to use an index in the book.

i HAVE HAD TO MOVE THREE TIMES DURING MY SUMMER INTERNSHIP OUT OF STATE, THIS LAST MOVE WAS UNEXPECTED AND HAD TO DO WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES IN THE HOUSE WHERE I WAS STAYING. Worst Professor Ever! He's not helpful at all, but when you try to ask something he will dumb it down at you as if everyone were born engineers...he has high expectations.I definitely DO NOt recommend this professor. I took him bc he was the only one available. If you can, don't choose him. Otherwise, good Luck!

Sims is a great guy, very high expectations. Probably the smartest guy I have ever met. This can be a problem sometime because he talks over your head, but if you will tell him that you have no idea what he is talking about he will dumb it down for you. He also forgets he knows this stuff front and back and Tests are on things you would never study

Dr. Simms is a dificult teacher to have. He will make you work for your grade and make you study outside of class to understand his concepts. Students avoid him because they are too lazy to study. I worked for my grade in his classes but I also learned the most from him out of all of my ET professors.
