After reading all these good comments on this teacher I don't know what they saw in Professor Dyer. First off I was in a class of 5 and he didn't know any of our names the whole semester, he is very unorganized, loves to show you books, and doesn't give any feedback. After three years of college this is by far the worst professor that I've ever had

He has a lot of bad reviews on here but I gotta say, they are a little harsh. This is my third time I have taken one of his classes and I have done really well in all of them. If you do poorly, its probably because you don't know much about Graphic Design or Studio Photo (another class I took from him). He really does know what he is taking about,

He knows about designing and the business, and is a good designer. When he talks though he seems clueless. He stutters all the time, sometime doesn't even finish sentences. Very unorganized with everything. Doesn't like when you disagree with him, and thinks he knows everything. If he doesn't like you you'll know it pretty quickly.

Dyer is an amazing professor. He is so extremely helpful and very hard. This is probably why there are negative comments here. If you are passionate about your work and you work hard you will do well. Highly recommended.

This class was the biggest waste of my time. Critiques (which are normally very helpful) were pointless. Very unorganized with class structure and due dates. Gave no helpful feedback on projects during or after completion. He never even passed out a teacher evaluation form. If there is ANY way you can avoid this professor, DO IT!

He was not very helpful at all, that is if he actually comes to class. Knows little about the prgms that are being used now. Likes to talk about all of the work that he used to do way back but never on the students work itself. All conversation referred back to him. Class was a joke did not take away anything from the class. Horrible Teacher!!!

He's awesome! I loved the video class! He was very passionate, and inspiring. He is very hard which might be why there are so many negative comments. [some people can't handle the work load and criticality.] I learned so much from him, and I am now working in the field. very helpful!

Very wrapped up in himself. Luckily I didn't have him for most of my graphic design classes. In general he was nice to me, but very hard to talk to. Sometimes seems like he is on another planet. Does he know he doesn't know everything? Especially about art. He knows art for sure, but not EVERYTHING. DONT disagree with him, he hates it.

Dyer was my advisor Freshman year. I was very disappointed with him. I understand he meets with many students & has other duties, but there is a big difference between pressed for time and downright rude. He was indifferent, seemed annoyed at my questions about art concentrations, and took phone calls during advisement. NO GO.

hes always been good for me to talk about classes with. & although i missed some meetings, hes never killed me like a friend told me he would. he still smiles & is polite to me eventhough im a pud. woot for forgiving teachers, he doesnt hold a grudge :)
