Professor Jubin is the best teacher to take photography with! She is very passionate about the subject and knows everything about photos to help you succeed in the class. To get a good grade you need to take the time to do the projects but that goes for any class. Take her feedback and show her you care about what your doing and youll do great

Comment:

One of the best professors I've had at Oswego. She really wants to see you do well, and honestly believes you can. If you slack and don't put in the work and effort you won't do well. She knows when you could've worked harder on a project and will hold you to it. Very nice, learned a lot, and I created some of my best work in her classes.

I am a zoology major with little to no experience with photography. Professor Jubin made the class enjoyable and fun. She can be a little crazy at times but it just shows her passion for photography. As long as you listen to her criticisms, lessons, and do your work to the best of your ability you'll do great. I learned SO much from this class.

DO NOT take this class with her if you can help it. She makes things really difficult and tends to squash the joy out of photography. If you are really self-directed and don't care what other people think about your work you'll probably be fine; otherwise you might find yourself frustrated and in over your head.

I came to oswego last sem as a transfer. she's my advisor & I took digital w/ her. Yes she has ideas about what she wants & what she expects but she can shes the professor! Art students are suppose to have creative minds so you just take your ideas and adapt them to hers. I found her VERY helpful Im taking classes w/ her still & couldnt be happier!

OMG...I liked her at the begining of class, now I can't stand her. She values her own opinion, and no one elses. In this field, you're supposed to have an open mind...she doesn't. If she doesn't like what you're doing, you're screwed. DON'T take any classes with her if it canbe helped.

Its not so much that she is hard. Its more like she won't give you the time of day if she doesn't like you. She is very demanding and at times completely unreasonable.
