Not a bad teacher, but it can be hard to track her down. Make sure you do the readings! She talks about all the reading material in class so you can pass without it, but she calls on people randomly so if you don't read ahead you're in for a real embarrassment.

Great class. It was a once a week 3 hour class. She kept the class moving with different activities and lectures so you didn't get bored plus we got out early almost every week. There is a lot of reading to do I found it time consuming but overall interesting and helpful. She is a very happy person and tells funny stories. I would recommend her.

Three week summer class is very difficult. Lots of work and very fast paced. Don't expect to just spend an hour of two on it each night. Sh is a nice prof, just a very difficult class for three weeks.

Dr. Manning is a nice professor, but is very busy. I found it hard to find a time that I could go in and talk to her without feeling rushed. She grades harshly, but allows revisions, and tells some pretty funny stories. A few assignments were frustrating and I learned nothing from them, but usually things go well. Recommended, but lots of work.

Teacher is very helpful however very unclear at stating what is due for the next class period. Teacher also plays favorites. Teacher will act as if your paper is great and then throw a C down on it. Hard grader. Offers a lot of help to students. A lot of work for 2 credits! Fun motivating teacher.

Carmen Manning is the best professor I have ever had. She is funny and knows how to make class enjoyable. She considers all ideas and involves everyone in discussions, grades fairly, and makes things clear for everyone. This was one of my favorite classes and I definitely miss it. If you get a chance, take a class with Prof. Manning. She's amazing!

Dr. Manning is all over the place. She grades papers with great comments and then throws a C in your face. If you really want a good grade go the first day and say your major is Journalism or something english and you will for sure get an A. She plays major favorites and isnt that enjoyable as a professor.

This was by far the worst class I have ever taken. I can't believe someone allowed this person to teach. She doesn't know anything, doesn't help with anything, and if you aren't one of her favorites you had better drop out now.I spent half of my time in the class playing games on the computer because she was oblivious to everything else.

She is a hard grader, but is always willing to help if you need it. She is willing to respond to any problems you have and is very good and walking you through your problems, just don't fall behind.
