Comment:
Grading is forwards--every early task is preparation for later work. Whoozit's problem was probably forgetting the early jobs in the time gap for preparing the actual research paper. Well, duh! Ignoring steps 1, 2, & 3 when it comes to doing step 4 will obviously mean things seem backwards.

He has a reversal method of teaching. You do the work first then he grades you like you should know what you are doing. He made me do one paper over and when I turned it in he refused to take it. His examples of what to do on a research paper is a trial and error process. His writing is pathetic his notes on corrections are NOT legible. Avoid him!

Dr. Lidaka is a fantastic professor. His classes are full of information, handouts, etc but he is an expert in his field. He takes his job seriously and wants his students to learn. He is very approachable outside of class, too, and is quite helpful. Be prepared to work and learn in his class.

Be prepared to work. You will write and read endlessly. If you're not prepared to do the work, you might want to change majors. Still, he's funny, fair and pretty entertaining.

Gamed it! Just show up to class, listen, take good notes, & forget the web at test time--the "code" has the answers you need! Use the book on reserve for more help. Some people just freak out!

NEVER TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!Notice that all of the people who said he was easy were taking 100 level classes. This guy is horrible, he is incredibly smart but cannot teach at all. There were things on the test that we never discussed in class and that never appeared in the book. You cannot read his handwriting and his handouts are written in code.

I had dropped out of the secondary ed program and entered his office crying, "I WILL NEVER GRADUATE, holding my multiple transcripts. he looked at it, said in a completely flat tone... I see one degree...rigt here. Zany sense of humor, fun, smart, got a B and enjoyed class

OMG don't slough off! Getting a good grade is theoretically easy, but in practice you need to learn stuff. But that's what you're in school for, isn't it?

Good if you're serious about a college education. Bad if you think it's just a high school continuation. Excellent if you hope eventually to go on to grad school. So, where are your brains?

He's extremely intelligent and incredibly whacky! He really wants his students to understand the material and get the most out of their college experience so don't be afraid to ask questions. Tough, but fair. Be ready to research and write!

He's good, but be prepared to research and re-research, and draft and re-draft. You MUST research a lot of your topic. Don't put it off, you'll be in trouble. I worked extremely hard in this class and received a "B"

Great instructor - takes dull material (at times) and spices it up! He is extremely helpful and will provide guidance - outside of class. You do have to work for your grade - you have to put in effort.

This guy is the biggest jerk I have met on campus. He is not clear, nor helpful. I had a 3.75 GPA and an A in eng 101, and I was barely able to pass. There wasn't a single person who received anything higher than a C on the final draft out of 17 students. You can not read his writing, and he constantly corrects the book on documentation. AWFUL!

High expectations, but very fair. If your a major, you need to meet thos expectations to get ready for the 'real world' and it's expectations. Do not expect to sleep thru his classes. If you want 2 learn, take him. If you just want to coast thru and pass to move on, be lucky to get a C.
