I really enjoyed Public Speaking with prof Norris. It's a challenging course but it's easy to do well if you put in the effort. Lots of quizzes on textbook readings but they are easy as long as you do the reading. She grades hard on speeches but gives great feedback to improve. Challenging but worth it! My public speaking skills definitely improved

she treats you like you're five years old. makes dumb comments and picks on people in the class. she thinks she's extremely funny. the debates are cool, interesting topics that pertain to worldly issues so that's fun. her grading is so weird... 17.8 is common out of 20. she doesnt explain why you get .8 either.

Kathy is great! Debate is genuinely fun when she's teaching it. She doesn't make it too technical and/or academic, and your debate skills will improve by leaps and bounds throughout the course of teh semester. It was truly the ideal debate class.

Perky, classy, very energetic. Is a mom with a college aged son, easy to talk to, understands lateness. Okay to skip a lot but do NOT miss your speech days. Not very difficult. Can eat in class. If you need a CMST core, take her.

Awesome teacher. Helps you get confident with your speaking, really funny, relaxed and friendly. Not big on tardiness either. (I had her for Intro To Public Speaking at 8 AM and slept in a few times) But you will learn in her class too, don't pass up a class with her.
