I really did like her as a professor. When I found out I had to take Stats for my major, I almost had a meltdown. Thankfully, the class was much easier than I imagined. Homework was easier after attending class & taking notes. Tests weren't bad if you studied & knew equations. This is the first math class I have ever enjoyed & would take again

Comment:

Wendy does an excellent job at explaining the concepts covered in calculus. She is very thorough, and makes sure that you understand the concepts. She also makes sure that everyone's questions are answered, and takes time out of class to go over homework questions.

Comment:

Overall a decent teacher, but I think she has too much on her plate as there are few times when she is available to clarify issues with the material. You'll be relying on the math help center. She also doesn't post lecture note guides on D2L until late, the night before class. She is great about answering questions during lectures, however.

As a person, Wendy is great! As an instructor, not so much. I took Stats 281 from her as a requirement for my major. I am not a math person in the least and it seemed as though she doesn't take into consideration the different math backgrounds students may have for a class required by most majors when she instructs the class.

Pretty good teacher, not too great, though. Class is rather boring, but she does go through a lot of examples. She does care about helping her students learn. Calculus will be tough no matter who you take it with.

She was always willing to help and very easy to approach. Really the only thing I ever had issues with would be that her copies of the print out notes sometimes differed slightly from the ones available to students online, but it was never so terribly different that I was thrown off. All in all a great professor.

Math of any kind is one of those subjects where you need a GOOD teacher; they are so few and far between in this subject. Wendy has a God-given gift to instruct math in a non-intimidating fashion and understands that you can't possibly know it inherently! She'll work with you after class if you want, give you extra time on an exam, etc!!! AWESOME
