This professor is just a brilliant person. Do you know those teachers who can turn a boring subject very interesting? Well, Katie can do this. The more you criticize the text the better the discussion will be and that's what she likes: DISCUSSIONS! The class is very intellectually stimulating.

One of the hardest classes I ever had, but Katie Kane is very personable and really strives to make you a better writer. A little eccentric, but that makes class fun. She's also very warm and welcoming outside of class.

dr. kane is wonderful! she basically saved my life. I transferred last semster and my advisor was no help at all. After taking but one class from her, she picked up the phone and made calls. After 20 min. of her time she solved all of my problems that my worthless advisor wasn't even willing to help be with. and she is soo smart. and cute.

Katie is one of the best professors I ever had at UM. What I learned from her made me a better student. She is funny, energetic (like a firecracker) really interested in what she teaches,knowledgeable and ready to give one on one attention outside of class. She is a total rockstar who inspired me.

Katie Kane is the best professor you'll ever have. I especially recommend her for theory classes (i.e. 301). You'll wonder why other professors aren't like her. She's fun, articulate, and smart.
