Comment:

LARRY IS DADDY MATERIAL! He doesn't care if your late to class. He lets you use any calculator on his tests. The tests are multiple choice. He is very understanding and fun. He is not as serious as other professors and talks about his personal life but i personally enjoy hearing about him. He's a cute old man that knows alot but is humble about it.

He spends the majority of the class talking about his personal life more than algebra, and he gets way too personal. Also, he is not good at explaining what he writes on the board and just sort of rushes through everything. You'll learn more from the online homework than in-class teaching.

Had him for most of my math classes. He is a great Professor. There are 3 Tests and a final. Homework are due at the mid term and at the end of the semester. Calculus is hard but if you go to class everyday, and do the homework you will pass. Also he gives great reviews before the tests. If you fail his class it means you are not trying.

Calculus 3 was very interesting and not a tough class comparing to Calculus 2. Mr. Walker is more practical type of teacher rather than theoretical. He teaches you how to do it, not the theory of particular topics. If you are an engineering major, Mr. Walker is highly recommended!

He goes so fast and doesn't care about the students learning at all. One time when a student in my class asked him to slow down Mr. Walker told him if he couldn't keep up he a real problem!! He is so rude and just wants to show how smart he is i would never take him again go to UT Tyler if you have to. Im not just up set about my grade I made an A.

Even though I made an A in his class he is a POOR teacher. when teaching his class he will solve the problem for you and you won't be able to learn while in class. As he writes on the board he stands in front of his writing so you have no idea what is going on. The only reason I made an A is because I taught myself through the hw he assigned.

Mr.Walker is THE BEST TEACHER! I took him for all my junior college math classes and I really enjoyed all of them. Most students don't understand that it's subject that is hard, not the teacher's method. His methods are great! I would recommend to take his class for those students who are seriously interested in mathematics.

Mr.Walker has good knowledge in wide range of subjects. I recommend to take his class only to those students who are really sure of their math skills. If you are in good relations with Math then take his class and you will get a perfect knowledge, if not - don't take him because you will be confused. So, come to his class with some MATH skills!

Had him for Fundamentals of Math (1350&1351). Hilarious and an awesome guy! Class was easy, but he did not explain material or answer questions very well. But, he goes over test-like study guide problem by problem. I made an A in both classes. You would have to try very hard not to make an A in his class. Just an all around cool guy!

Had no algebra in 10 yrs, but had A's in AP Calc. I expected to catch on again rather quickly, but could not THAT quickly. He raced through the material, rambled, and I had to teach myself EVERYthing. He resented when I asked questions and I eventually dropped rather than fail. Yes, it had been years so it's not ALL on him, but I expected more...

Mr. Walker will show up late and leave early, but also doesn't care if you do. He will tell you exactly what will be on the test and explain it all 3 times if he has to. He actually keeps it pretty simple, for a Calc III class, and gives you all the partial credit he can. If you're half-way ready and make half an effort, you'll be fine.

His Calculus 2 class is difficult, especially during the summer. Says how he doesn't like to give hard questions on his tests yet the problems he uses are fairly difficult. I found his class to be very difficult, I made a B which is my lowest math grad ever.People who say his class is easy are the ones who had him for algebra, which is always easy.

Based on these reviews, he may be "easy" in Algebra, but he sure isn't in Cal II over the summer! You better have Cal I DOWN COLD before taking this class. He went thru the material so fast I couldn't even take good notes and listen. Basically had to teach myself from the book. He did ease up after the 2nd test though (which only 4 ppl passed).
