I love Professor Umbach. I took his MIDI class last year and he was extremely helpful and fun. I basically sat on a computer for 2 hours and made music. He was a really great teacher and I learn a lot more than I expected. I would highly recommend him. He is very understanding. Probably one of the best teachers at TCC!!!

Keith Umbach is the man. He'll stay after class to help you if you don't understand a concept and work with you until you do. He's flexible but he is serious about jazz so you can't blow his class off, but he's a great teacher if you want to learn.

Mr.Umbach was is the greatest music teacher I've had. His phone is alway's on for any question and he was open to whatever style I wanted to learn. I got a A+ in his class.

Umbach didn't appreciate all the different types of music but instead focused solely on jazz. I went into the class wanting to learn about a variety of music but came out with knowledge of only one style.
