His class was fun to be at, he made it fun and we learned how to play easily. He was understanding that we were just starting out on the instruments and graded us fairly.

He is one of the best teachers that i have ever worked with. Maybe if people actually listened during rehearsals so that questions and comments were not repeated he wouldnt have to explain everything more than once. Amazing musician, alright at conducting ( he tries! ), and a truly caring professor that will help you with whatever you need.

Dr. Sarch is an amazing violinist and professor. Although his conducting could use a bit of brushing up, his musical ideas and expressions are amazing. He is the best violin teacher i have ever had and although the string sections do need work, it's due to a lack of majors. He is an amazing man and deserves more respect

He's a nice man. He's very good with one on one. He'd do anything for his students. I like him, and even though people say he can't keep a good tempo, sometimes that makes us as musicians work a little bit harder and get to know everyones parts so you can hear it and know when you're supposed to come in. Listening is a big part of being a musician too, we can all use a little bit of practice with that.

grant it the string section lacks a lot in the orchestra, but thats because all of the recruiting efforts go toward band and chorus. soon thats changing thank god. hes a wonderful man who will bend over backwords to help you.

He cares about his students' best interests. No one seems to recognize that he does make efforts to improve his rehearsals. I'm sure it's hard to conduct an orchestra with the mediocrity that abounds in the string section. Perhaps if he had better musicians to work with, his orchestra would be good!

Terrible rehearsal techniques and can't keep a steady beat! An expressive person on the violin but totally untrained in the art of conducting.

I learned absolutely nothing about the violin or viola while in his class. He is a nice man and knows his stuff but doesn't covey it very well. He also tends to give you a better grade if you are a female and dress provacatively.

Dr. Sarch is an amazing violin player and musician, but I have a hard time with him as a conductor. He lacks a steady tempo and it always feels like he waits till the day of the concert to fix themistakes of the orchestra.

Dr. Sarch is one of the nicest, most caring people I have ever met. He will healp any student in any way he can. Unfortunately, he has a tendency not to keep a steady beat.

He can't keep a beat... which is a problem if you conduct an orchestra (or play with one). Also, he's kinda "foggy" upstairs. These two traits combined are nerve-wracking when you want to learn.

I could have taught myself the Violin better then he ever taught me. He's a great violin player but needs to learn what a meter is. Did i mentiong when you accompany any of his students it's always the piano players fault.

CAN NOT KEEP STEADY BEAT!!!(Makes conducting kinda hard) Good violinist, but can't stay with a group to save his life. Has a slight odor, & incredibly absent-minded (mentioned breaking a G-string at a concert)
