Dr. G is the absolute best professor I have had. He is so inspiring and amazing! He cares for each student and is concerned with those who put in the effort. I was in his office all the time asking a ton of questions, and this allowed me to get to know him better and understand the material more. I love Dr. G and would highly recommend taking.

Comment:

His tests are hard and the correct answer can be determined b the smallest of details. With that being said I enjoyed the class and his lectures. If you don't do so well on the tests then make sure you do well in lab and on the group project because it has the potential to raise you by a letter grade.

In the beginning of the class I wasn't doing very well and didnt think I would pass, and wanted to change my life long dream to something easier. But I talked with Dr.G and he told me..." anything work having wont come easy". STUDY HARD for this class, and you'll be ok.

Comment:

Dr. Gallaher is the most impacting science teacher I have ever had. His lectures are fast-paced and require hours and hours studying, but it is totally worth it. There is no homework or quizzes, so putting forth effort and doing well on the tests is crucial. Dr. Gallaher emphasizes critical thinking to challenge people pursuing medical careers.

Dr.G is such an amazing professor, I am so sad that I will not be able to take him again (he only teaches 1134). He truly cares about his student and their learning, that said, the class is rather difficult. You MUST put in the work to be able to get the grade you want.

Dr. G is one of the best if not the best professor. Yes you have to work hard in this class but it is so worth it. This class is a class that I would take again and if you get the chance, TAKE THIS CLASS!!

You have got to like science, it will be hard if you're not passionate about it! Dr. G is great though, one of my favorite professors and one of my favorite classes. If you have trouble with the class ask him for study tips- active learning is much different than passive learning. Study days before and you're set (DONT wait til night before...)

A very, very difficult class especially as a freshman (my first real bio class), but he really shows you if you're capable of being a science major or not. Might be the hardest class I ever take, but the man genuinely cares about every single one of his students.

Dr. G is one of the best professors I have ever had. You can tell he actually cares about his students. Yes, his class is hard and you will have to study, but he is very clear when it comes to teaching the material that will be on the test. No textbook was required. Grade was calculated purely on test scores, lab grade, and some extra credit. 11/10

It's a COLLEGE Biology course, it's supposed to be hard. He prepares his "Biology babies" for upper-level courses. Just bc you were the smartest in high school means nothing in college. You WILL have to study, you WILL have to apply it & you WILL have to understand it. He is super approachable & so loving. Get to know him & hang in there!

Beware of this class, because it's a good taste of what a biology major will be like. This class is very easy compared to higher courses, so if you struggle in this class you will need to set up your game for next upcoming bio courses

Really unfair in the way he gives tests. Bio is hard enough, why make the tests a level below med school? So much material, giving a dense test would be just as bad as his critical thinking questions. He's kinda vain and thinks he knows everything and sizes you up. Not someone approachable for help.

Dr. G is by far the best teacher I've ever had. He cares about his students and knows his stuff. His class is tough, but if you put in the effort, your grade will reflect it. I'd recommend recording the lectures and reviewing each one after class. It's definitely possible to make an A, you just have to put forth the effort as if you want it!

Dr. Gallaher is absolutely the best teacher I've ever had. The course required lots of studying and hard work, but he definitely goes to bat for his students in the grading area. Will work with you to get the grade you want. I would highly recommend him!

Cell and Genetics was super hard but Dr. G is a super great professor. Very funny and very encouraging too. Tests are tough but he hold help sessions every week. Great teacher and a great class.

Cell and Genetics was the hardest class I've ever taken, and I would go as far to say it will likely be the hardest class I ever will take. With that said, Dr. G is an EXCEPTIONAL man who certainly has your best interest in mind! He is willing to do whatever it takes to make your experience in his class more meaningful.
