He hopes you'll be paying enough attention to answer questions, and doesn't care if you're on your laptop. The weekly quizzes were easy, just read the pages. The papers weren't hard, just put a little effort into it. He even let my boyfriend play his bass for the class, during one of the time periods we were covering. No classes on Wed, Mon only.

You'll have an online quiz and a discussion board once a week. In class, you'll have a class quiz which is very easy so long as you put even the tiniest effort into studying. Papers are easy too as long as you follow the guidelines. Not to mention, Dr. Fowler is an amazing guy and his class is actually pretty interesting.

This was a great class. Lots of work, but it was very well-organized. Dr. Fowler gives prompt feedback and mixed up the assignment types to keep things interested. I would definitely be willing to take this course again.

Comment:

Dr. Fowler is the best professor I've ever had! However, this class is a LOT of work. It's not hard if you do the reading (which there is a lot of). This class was definitely the most time consuming of all my classes. Lots of quizzes and discussion boards. There were 3 major papers assigned throughout the semester as well.

If you are not majoring in music DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE. Extremely difficult even though it is online. He gives you at least 5 quizzes a week...my assignment during deadweek was 6 quizzes, a short essay, and a concert report....too much work....

The only reason that I came to Indiana State is to study cello with him. He is a great teacher, pretty laid-back, and knows how to interact with students. I absolutely love him and think that he is an amazing cellist!

Dr. Fowler is not only a cool teacher, but he is also a very talented, passionate musician. I don't play cello, but I found myself attending any recital that he was performing on. He is a sweet, adorable man with a blessed family and life.
