The guy is not accessible out side of class. Every time you ask him a question he gives you a look like your the dumbest person in the word if you didnt know what he was talking about. Thankfully i did well in the class so i dont have to worry about seeig him again.

Not a good professor. I took my notes, studied and paid attention every class and got a D plus, and that's not the type of student I am. Expect to be taking a TON of notes. The first half of class, he says the same material as the previous class. He expects you to read the textbook outside of class, on your own time and a book he assigns.

Brags about how his classes overall avg from all his years of teaching is a D+. gives the hardest test that has nothing to do with what you do in class. Boring as hell. pauses between every word. Stay away from this guy. he will fail u

The comments here are interesting. I looked him up to see if he was still active. I went with him and others to the USSR in '88 after taking his course. I thought he was hard at first but grew to like him. It's nice to see he is still working after all these years. The descriptions are funny though. A little bit of truth to all of them.

this professor is the worst. He is repetitive. The material on the tests he doesn't even teach, you have to teach yourself from the textbook. Mostly just teaches his opinion. You will have a lot of repeated sentences in your notes.

This Guy is someone I was privileged to learn from. He plays no games and is big on class respect; and undergraded me the first class i took with him. He is a kind person just not a catereer to fools. he was actively involved in Poli.Sci. debating editorials in the school paper with (against) other professors.

Excellent teacher and presentation. I never thought the constitutional convention could be exciting until I took this course. Good note taking is essental. Reading assignments a must. Tests are fair. Maintains great control of the class. Has good sense of humor. Prof. Gerson is a wealth of knowledge and it was an honor to attend his class.

i am currently enrolled in his american government class this summer. i love history and i like political science, so the subject matter is interesting, and he gives good information in his lectures, BUT he is such a bore. it's like he's dead. good information but terrible presentation. he needs to LIVEN up. be excited about what you're teaching!

Alright teacher. He helps when he can. LOTS of reading. In order to pass you put take notes. Notes are important. Tests are pretty straight foward, easy to pass if you took notes. Pain in the ass. And was late all the time though.

He is not interested in helping the students in any way, you have a lot of material to read and memorize, the tests are very difficult, 70 and 80 multiple choice questions, many of them with tricks. Taking a ton of notes is a waste of time, he gives extra points for perfect attendance, but you never know if he really gives you these points.

Good teacher, knows what he's talking about. Can go on a little to far about some topics but can be intersting. Be aware its all lecture!!Be prepaired to take tons of notes+ A LOT of reading!!One thing that could be helpfull is ask to go over some of the reading materials in class. He doesn't do this in his lectures, your responsible to know it!

Great professor... LECTURES ONLY. For you to find humor in his class will require someone in the class to be humorous themselves. He is not at all, so if you can't stand that, dont take this class.
