Currently Taking his creative writing class. I was sick for about 2 weeks and couldn't attend 3 classes and he understood. Papers are basically topic of your choice. Out of my 2 other English professors ive had at Suffolk hes probably my favorite.

Currently taking his ENG 102 Honors. Spends most of the class talking about his political beliefs and making fun of those who don't agree with him. Very uncomfortable atmosphere if you disagree with his beliefs. Won't refrain from calling beliefs stupid or that republicans "don't have souls." Hardly any quizes, only essays. Would not recommend.

My favorite professor ive had at Suffolk so far. Taken two classes of his, English 102 and the holocaust class. Very much enjoyed them both. He is opinionated, but that's what i like most. His opinions are educated, and i have agreed with most of what hes said in class. Doesn't like laziness! I put much effort into both classes, and got A and B.

Your best bet is to agree with how he sees the world and you'll do fine. He's a hardcore democrat and lets you know that. I learned about his opinions more than the actual Holocaust. He randomly throws 5 page papers at you and is a tough grader.

To be honest , I've learned things I did not know from the holocaust. The only work that you do is three papers , but very strict grader. It will not be an easy "A" if that's what your looking for. Also his papers were a bit confusing . It will get boring on some of the subject . But I'm disappointed with his grading.

Extremely disappointed with this class and professor. I wasnt expecting an "easy A" but I thought as long as I put in the work then I'd get one. However he is not a fair grader at all, waits till last minute to give you back grades. I participated every class yet couldn't even pull an A. I wouldn't recommend him at all, I wish I took someone else.

I am taking Professor Klipstein's 102 class now, and i really enjoy it. He is easily one of my favorite professors I've had. Gave 4 essay assignments, based on books/stories that we read in class. Will say, the stories that he picked to read during the semester were completely dreadful, mostly Southern Gothic. Keeps the class atmosphere fun.

He doesn't like when you don't agree with his opinions. There are no tests but there are a lot of essays. He makes you buy books what you never use, stating at the beginning of the semester that you absolutely need them. After almost every short story, there was a pop quiz. He's nice,likes to crack jokes, but sometimes the jokes go a little too far

Our English Comp class turned into a Holocaust course, no complaints there since it was very interesting. Essays were based on personal experiences so they were super easy. Grades fairly. Nice guy! Take his class if you can, even the honors one if there's room. Super funny and down to earth too.

Great professor! I took his summer Holocaust class and it was really interesting. He knew SO much about the topic. I learned stuff that baffled me. We had to write 4 short papers and 1 research paper. No tests. He's a really nice and friendly guy. I still see him a lot all over campus and he always stops and says hello.

This guy is SO boring. He talks the whole time, and the topic is just so uninteresting. I dreaded going to class. Although the class was unbearable, it isn't challenging by any means. There are no exams, just essays. We wrote about four large essays throughout the semester. Don't spend your money on the books; you'll never read them.

Wouldnt take him again class isnt just boring its irritating he believes conspiracy theories are fact and dont bother questioning him b/c HE IS ALWAYS RIGHT hes also EXTREMELY disorganized tells you to bring in a book but then decides it should have been read the day u brought it in? if ur stuck with him the papers are easy just tune out his rants!
