Papers due every week, assignments are easy. As long as you include everything he ask you to refer to in your papers you will get an A. There are no wrong interpretations in Philosophy. Sophie's World book not necessary, stopped reading it after the first couple chapters, he includes notes with each assignment that guide for info on papers

He is the best. Gives great feedback on papers. Papers must be 2 pages long but he gives you great directions and tells you what pages to read in the book. The books are needed! No final exam. Just a final paper. No tests. The only downside is the 2 page papers are worth 5 points each. Graded each Monday after the due date. Replies to emails quick!

The best professor I have ever had! I loved his class! It was very thought provoking and Kress seems to feel very passionate about having us develop as people than to test our memory. LOVED IT, BEST CLASS EVER

Very intelligent instructor. I learned a lot in this class, very interesting! Make sure to attend class or you'll have to take the final exam and it would be TOUGH! Long class but learned something new every day. Only assignments are Papers and if you do them you can opt. out of final exam but do not miss more then two days!!!

I wish Professor Kress had been more engaged with the class. The whole class seemed very "set it and forget it." You have 100 possible points. Each week is "Read this and write a journal." And that's it. The whole class. Real easy, but lots to read and often long videos to watch. No class discussion or real interaction.

I took his class religions class online. A lot of reading, but you almost don't have to do all of it to pass. He makes it too easy. He tells you exactly what parts you have to read to do the assignment for the week. If you can get the hang of exactly what he is looking for it's a cake walk.

Online Course was very easy. As long as you complete the journals assigned every week you will get an A. No Tests or Quizzes just a Journal a week which took me at most a half hour each.

Prof Kress was a wonderful instructor. I took his World Religions online class and I have to say it was one of the easiest classes I've taken so far. His online class consists of reading about the religion, assigning you a 2 page paper about the topic, then answer his weekly discussion board. Very easy A class. I definitely recommend him!

I loved this class. Majority of the work was reading the text and writing journals. The professor responds to all of the journals to make sure you understand the concepts. This was a very interesting class and makes you rethink your beliefs.

Prof. Kress is a really interesting guy, and has a fun teaching style. From day 1 everything will be laid out for you, there are no surprises. Attendance is mandatory. You write journals about different topics from class. Easy but still very educational.

One of the worst teachers I have ever had. Does not give you any break when missing class. After 6 classes you automatically fail. Don't take his class if one of your parents are sick because to him it's no excuse to miss class!

He is a great Professor! I had him for world religions and it was a very enjoyable class. Do not take this class if you do not have an open mind. You will ruin it for the rest of the class. Also, attendence is a must. If you show up for class you will not have to take the final.

World Religions. Mr Kress is a phenomenal teacher. KEEP AN OPEN MIND! Someone already stated this, but it's true - way too good for a Community College. Class would have been better if students were willing to discuss.
