I would not retake this class. The lectures were about three hours long. All of the class contained lectures. There were nothing else besides lectures. There were no discussions. There were no power points so we took notes by hand. There were three exams throughout the semester. We were never given homework.

I had mrs green for soc1010. She doesnt do power point for lectures. Just stand up in front a room for 3 hours and reads off note cards. She will spend 30 mins talking about something and it wont be on the test. Also the only grades you get are 4 exams.

terrible professor. very feminist, hypocritical, opinionated. Not the best pick Tri-c. she pissed off everyone in class every lecture. I have walked out on lecture and so have others. If it wasn't for participation points I would only show up for test. she isn't easy to get a long with.

Within the first few minutes of class you know immediately that she is a democrat, Jewish, and opinionated. Overall, I enjoyed class, but had to do a lot of work to get a B. Had to fight for some of my answers which was irritating since she insists pleas be made on a case-by-case basis after class. If it's a bad question, then fix it for all!

If you like long, boring, and biased lectures, this is the class for you. Does not use any technology except for the occasional VHS documentary. All she does is talk about her family and her full time job. Complains constantly and gives her radical liberal opinions for the majority of the lecture. Old and bitter. Whole class agreed, worst prof ever

I just had this professor for the Fall 2009 semester. She was quirky, and definitely is technologically challenged--but it is easy to do well in her class. Study definitions highlighted in the text and her lecture notes are a must.

Do not take this teacher. She is very opinionated and will waste time discussing her views and telling stories about life. Then when it's time to take notes she rushes through it and doesn't give you study guide or tell you whats going to be on test. Her test are pretty challenging & you have to read stupid text book also.

She knows alot about the subject she teaches but the lectures are very hard to stay awake during. Take lots of notes because that is the only way you will surive. Hopefully she learns how to use the audio equipment soon cause she seriously wastes sooo much time just trying to figure out how to use everything.

Total part-timer. Seems disorganized. Wastes class time fumbling on computer. Can be unprepared. During last exam, her cell phone went off. She said "oops, sorry" and than preceded to have a conversation. True story!

Very nice lady. Good at teaching although she grades nothing but a midterm and final (I think?). Some homework and note sets and study guides would be nice, but what the hey? It's like, ermm, I think we all learned about sociology, you know? Talks a lot about her son and hubby. Besides that, good class. P.S. - Sociology is kind of silly.

Very knowledgable professor with lots of real life sociology experience to share. She tends to talk very fast. Not a blow-off teacher for sure.
