Professor Peck is wonderful. She really cares about her students and she learns everyone's name. Participation matters, and she does call on people randomly sometimes, so make sure to read. She is a revered in her field, and every history major should take a class with her. Her passion shows through in her lectures, and she is inspirational.

Had her dean seminar. class is awful! She is nice, but class is super boring and alot of reading to do usually. She emails about 60 pages of reading that she wants you to do often the night before class which is mega ANNOYING! Plus your whole grade is basically the final plus a research paper. the topics are unclear and are REALLY HARD DONT TAKE IT

peck is such a nice woman. her class is so interesting, but i would say it wasn't worth it because it lowered my gpa. she makes the midterm and final seem impossible with SO MANY terms to memorize and she wants SO MUCH detail in her ids and essays. she also doesnt really give you much direction for the 8 pg paper. participation counts twrds ur grad

Professor Peck is an extremely gifted teacher. She gets across information in an efficient and interesting way. Her lectures are like well written stories and are easy to follow and understand. Her strong passion for English History is evident and she enjoys talking with students.

One of the Best Professors I have had at GW. She assigns alot of reading but even if you don't do it her lectures are so powerful that you will not get lost. She has an amazing mastery of the material. Looking forward to taking a different class with Professor Peck in the future

Prof. Peck is very condescending. She calls on students at random. She will call on you if you smile or nod your head at something. She tends to pick favorites in the class. The good news is that you really don't have to read to get a decent grade in the class. I studied with wikipedia before the exams and did just fine. She doesn't know dates.

peck is wonderful she makes this class interesting but try to read because she calls on you at random. this was a wid class but she helps you a lot. and particapation is big to her if she knows your name that means she usually likes you which is a plus. she is one of the best teachers

I have Prof Peck for History of Tudor England and its a WID class. I was really worried about taking a WID class when I found out about it but she is awesome. I never thought anyone could make English history this exciting and she is incredibly helpful.
