Lightning fast grader! Does not give a lot of feedback but what he gives is clear. Very responsive to emails when you have questions. Do the work and you will be fine!

Avoid this professor. He spends the least amount of effort possible. If you can't learn it on your own, he will not help. Communicating with Dr. Stevans is like conversing with an autistic parrot, he repeats one thing over and over again.

I would recommend this professor to anyone, but I strongly suggest that you attend every class or you will be lost. This is a difficult class to begin with. The Professor,was very helpful,if you ask for help he will help you!.Minitab is straight forward, just pay attention to the detail and you will do okay. I got an A-

His class is hard to understand except have a strong background. The notes he gave are garbage. Need to use Eviews to do homework but didn't tell how to use it!Learn by yourself!Late submit HW, no matter what reason, get a O! Take home midterm and final project,that need to take a day to finish but he just graded them in 3 minutes!Worst Prof. ever!

You're not required to go to class but I highly recommend it. The notes are garbage and completely useless... but make sure you pay attention when he goes over Minitab. The program is straight forward and so is the homework. He gives a take home midterm and take home final project (they use Minitab as well).

This little box can't hold all the flaws this teacher posses. So I will try to bullet it all: Doesn't teach just lectures, barely goes over using minitab, he grades very vaguely and doesn't explain how to get the right answer if you get it wrong...how the heck r you suppose to learn then. Material on the midterm was given in HW after the midterm..

Responds to your questions with one word. Feels more like you are learning Greek than statistics! The subject is difficult & with a professor that can't teach, it is just that much harder. Avoid if possible! You've been warned....

Smart, but cannot teach for the life of him. The assignments are different than the examples and he spends most of the time discussing theory yet tests are based on Minitab. I busted my butt in this class and got an A- (missing an A by about 0.6 points, he ignored my request to round up). Took points off on final for material he didn?t teach.

Very good professor. Very clear if you read the textbook and do all the assignments. I was afraid in the beginning because of all the talk. Got "A-" at the end. You just cannot miss a homework or class. Always replies to e-mails and grades your work and tests very fast, almost within hours. Sorry, he is not at Hofstra anymore.

QM 203 is a hard class, but you can get through it with someone who actually teaches it. Prof. Stevans does not teach QM 203, so get a tutor, learn minitab, pay your fees, and get on with your life. QM 203 with Stevans is a frightening journey into the twilight zone.

Moves way to fast and reviews as if the students are advanced stat majors already. Best advice is to print out all of his notes and write like crazy. QM 203 is a difficult course and Professor Stevans has no idea how to teach it. He doesn't take the time to address or answer any of his students' questions. He teaches the course like he expects you to already know advanced statistics. Not a helpful professor at all. Defintely take someone else. He is horrible.

This class is pretty difficult, but he tries to make it work. He goes quite fast, but will stop whenever he is asked to and explain. Did plenty of review at the beginning. Grades fairly and quickly, plus he seems to be a nice guy. It's not his fault that QM is brutal.
