How could you not love this woman? She's like the lovable Jewish mother I never had. Lori's sweet, if a bit flaky, but I love flaky, I go to Emerson. IN140 isn't difficult, and attendance doesn't seem to be extremely important. You just have to deal with pretentious****s who can't keep their mouths shut during philosophical discussions.

She's nice, very motherly. She isn't a great teacher, she's a little flakey (sometimes), but she's got a good heart and it's an easy class. Not a very intense psych class so if you have passing interest give it a shot.

Lori Rosenthal is hilarious. She's helpful and realistic. She realizes that most Emerson students will never become psychologists; she isn't expecting you to memorize all of your notes. She's interesting and a great teacher.

Rosenthal is there for you if you need help with something. Her tests are online, not very hard, but timed, so you have to be prepared. SHe is very friendly, gives extra credit for posting on WEBCT, overall very helpful. Has a few problems with electronics, but nothing serious. Great use of WEBCT, notes online, well prepared materials

Lori is a very intelligent professor who cares about her students a great deal. She makes extra effort to accomodate students in the name name of fairness. This flexibility makes the class more interesting a less stressful. She also shows films (a lot of them interesting!) and conducts a few interactive "games" to get you out of your seat. Solid.

Took two classes...BORING AS HELL!!! Get on her good side because if you don't...nothing you do in her class will be right...she turns it kinda into a therapy class so you'll have to listen to a lot of stupid **** from classmates discovering their inner child. Ignore and comment once a class because she's all into participation. Her tests are online and take home...you can always get extensions or take it later by sobbing frantically that your computer crashed...Don't expect to learn anything

I LOVED LORI'S CLASS! if you want to do well, let her know, and she makes it very possible. i think the main reason people say they don't like her class, is because they take it for fun thinking it wont be a lot of work. yes, there is hard work involved, it's no class for slackers. but all assignments are extremely valided and thought pervoking.

Lori is very average. Unless you really like pysch. class is pretty boring and lectures are dull. She is a really nice person but I wouldn't recommend her if there is another person teaching this class.

Basically the most boring class I have taken at Emerson. Rosenthal has a problem with being objective so don't get on her bad side. Grading is unclear and her projects are laughable. The tests are easy if you prepare correctly, but I can't recommend her for her attitude and general demeanor.

Definately comes to the table with a lot of experience and knowledge. Her lectures are really boring and usually repeitive of other Marketing classes. though it bothered me that she was unclear about due dates because she changed them around a lot and forgot that she did. Plus: open book exams

One of the worst teachers I have ever had in my life. She wants to be dr. phil. Her class was just a place for ditzes to talk about nothing out loud for 2 hours. Unfair grader. Holds personal grudges. She's not all that intelligent either. Avoid Lori like you would avoid the pox.

This was a fabulous class, very interesting and enlightening!! Discussions were awesome and Dr. Rosenthal was so fun to be in class with. Always available when needed and answers questions as thoroughly as possible!! Tests not too bad, and open note, so rock on!!

Not a good teacher, very unhelpful, and a really ridiculous grader. I ended up having to contest the grade after she turned it in and the office of advising agreed with me, thus switching my B- to an A-. Very boring class also and the online angle is so obnoxious!
