Dr.Coffae (formerly Brodkin) is really nice. Her classes are tough, but she makes them better by clarifying any questions you have. Our class was in a room without technology, which she claims to use a lot, so we were at a disadvantage, but she still made class interesting. She is one of the better English teachers at UCF! Love her.

Dr. Coffae is a wonderful teacher - helps out when needed, very good at rhetoric, and has a great personality. I recommend her before it great to learn from the best and she IS the best in the field! If you're willing to work for the grade, she is willing to help you out along the way. She wants her students to succeed, not fail! Take the class!

She is a very good teacher and a really nice person. It is not the typical class, but if you put in any effort what-so-ever you will be fine. She is the opposite of most UCF teachers that will go out of their way NOT to help you. She is very helpful and improve your writing skills. She is also very lenient about due dates which is always good

She was an awesome professor! She actually tried to help up improve our writing skills as opposed to just letting us turn in crap writing and getting grades. Decent amount of work, but well worth it! Also, willing to help with other things (she's helping me with grad school apps). Great prof!

While this professor is very knowledgeable, do NOT take her online class. Spring semester was "hit & miss" as modules were not loaded on time and due dates were always changed.

ONLINE-Aside from the group projects, this class was awesome. Dr. C (aka Dr. Brodkin)is very helpful, willing to work with you,and very understanding. The service-learning aspect of the course was quite the learning experience, but worth it.

Worst teacher at UCF, bar none, a teacher so full of herself and so completely ego driven, it is a wonder that she has kept her job, because her ego does not match her talent. The English Dept is not happy with her as constant complaints reign in, avoid at all cost.

I loved Dr. B! She was extremely helpful and understanding. If you have a problem with anything she is willing to meet up with you and help you understand. She lets you rewrite one paper at the end of the semester. She is super nice and it is a fun class!

I took her partially online class. While actually in class we just talked about irrelevant things and didn't do much. She is a really great person but difficult to get ahold of... You need to write good and she isn't one of the easy teachers that don't care what you write. She actually wants you to improve. I tried really hard and ended with a A-

I took my class half online. I ended up with an A. She doesnt respond quickly to emails, takes over 2 weeks to return grades from papers, and changes deadlines. She is very smart and nice, but very unorganized. I liked her as a person, but not so much as a teacher. If you dont mind having a very unavailable teacher, then take her.

I have totally been Brodkinized! I have taken her face-to-face classes and had an amazing experience. She is witty and incredibly intelligent. She has so much wisdom to impart on her students. I gained a lot from her Prof and Tech Writing classes. A+!!!

her class was really fun. may not be good online, is great in person. her class is interesting. only thing is that she talks alot about her personal life. otherwise the professional writing class was really helpful and we were able to pick our own teammates. took the class fall 2007. tons of help with resumes.

I took the Webcourse. There was NO COMMUNICATION.She would set deadlines for herself to return grades, miss it, then not answer anyone as to why.She would assign things weeks before due date and TWICE the assignments tab to turn it in was not opened on the due date and for days after! She would then just open it without apologizing or telling us!POOR

I made a high A in the online class. Suggestions: Read the material, as many test questions come verbatim from book. Know proper grammar and basic english rules. Be prepared to write professional documents. Be able to work with a randomly picked group of students. She does take awhile to reply to emails and to give grades and feedback.

I have no doubt she is knowledgeable and a good teacher, but I felt this class was a joke. She didn't even bother telling anyone that she wasn't going to show up the first night of class. Took forever grading and returning assignments, she uses her family as an excuse. If she's too busy with her family, she shouldn't have agreed to teach the class!
