Overall he was a pretty good teacher. There was a lot of reading, a few papers, a couple of tests, and a powerpoint presentation. He's a hard grader when it comes to the papers. If you quote facts a lot you'll get a C to a D, but if you write about how you personally perceive things you'll get an A. He's a decent teacher and I'd take him again.

Labor studies courses and advisor in the PACE program. Glad to see he is still teaching. What a nice person--learned a lot in his classes and he was extremely helpful as an advisor!

Dr. Stricker is one of the best professors at Dominguez. He is very knowledgeable in U.S. 20th century history and U.S labor. I took him for 490 as well. He was very helpful in finding me sources for my seminar paper. He also has a great sense of humor. I highly recomend him.

Labor Studies. Mr Stricker is a funny man. He teaches only in Spring. You will have a 1 pg paper. 1 3-5 page paper and 3 min presentation. 1 mid term T/F and 1 essay question. The final was 33 T/F questions. I enjoyed him and the class, he is cool and fair.

Stricker is a great teacher. I've had him for 5 classes, history and labor studies. Tests based on his t/f handouts and one short essay. Keep up with reading and you'll do fine. Picks interesting texts. Approx 5 page research paper in each class, with short (5 min) presentation on it to class. I highly recommend him. Fair grader, helps with writing

He explains what he wants regarding your paper and the limitations. Maybe spends too much time with the readings and grammer book but he wants to make sure all the basics are covered. Very helpful and is very interested in your progress and work on the paper. Grades fairly even though he red marks a lot !! paper range is from 18-30 pgs

Stricker said he "hated Ronald Reagan." Conservatives kept their opinions to themselves after that one. He cuts people off in an embarrassing and condescending way. Smiles in your face while planning your demise-If you are a Republican. Should have retired long ago. Watch your back with this "Dr."?

Don't remember the number of the class, it was Senior Seminar! Loved him! Later, I taught at the same school as his wife. It was great to see him at the retirement dinner each year! He even sent my paper to me, which I had negelected to pick up 3 years before! Take his class! He's great!
