To be honest is true most the bad comments that people made about Prof. Garcia. She is a very nice lady, you are not able to understand her if YOU TALKED WHILE SHE TALKS OR DONT PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS. With those "student" qualities anyone will have a bad grade. but if you read pay attention, ask questions and loves statistics. You are good to go.

i would really suggest taking a stats class before taking this class (no matter which professor you get), which is what i did, and i found this class so easy. but i can see how difficult it might have been if i hadn't taken that math class. her voice is really muffled but she's a really nice lady, if a bit disheveled :)

Terrible! I had a very good GPA until I took this class. I couldn't understand a word she said, participated in class, yet still got the impression she did not care. When I called the the dept., to complain the response I got was "not surprised, we don't have anywhere else to put her though". Not an ideal response when you pay a lot for school

Her muffled voice is one of the biggest reasons so many students have a problem with her class. If you take her class sit up front and take an energy drink with you. Good luck

YOU CANNOT UNDERSTAND HER AT ALL so sit in the front of the class if you wnat to hear her. Her grading methods are very hard and you have to work with a partner so its annoying your grade depends on someone else. If can aviod taking her I would the class is hard to start with and she doesn't make it any easier

If there is any way to avoid taking this professor for this class DO IT! She is nice, but I think she should retire.She makes an already difficult class almost impossible. I found her grading methods to be totally hypocritical. She takes forever to grade, is very unfair, and I didn't learn a thing.

Even though I got an A, don't risk your GPA unless you're willing to teach yourself. She's nice but should retire. Her tests are hard so I woudn't recommend her unless you're good at teaching yourself. She does however give extra credit opportunities.

really have to pay attention in class and take good notes.if you miss a day of class, you're going to have to teach yourself. you have to do results sections with groups, so make sure you get with a good person because theyre hard.. but ask her questions because she is very helpful with that.

you definitely have to suck up crazy to get a good grade. On the 4 quizzes i got D's. They are extremely hard and incomprehensible. But I got an A in the class. Because I never missed a class, did all workbook, got an A+ on the final(extremely easy). You need book to teach yourself because you wont understand her.

VERY VERY OLD! the subject matter is hard but she makes it seam ten times worse. cant hear her unless you are sitting right near her and even then the accent sometimes interferes with understanding her. She gives out the normal amount of work but her grading is harsh and biased.any other quant teacher would be better. dont risk your GPA!

if you register, forget learning. just look for ways to have fun. i spent her whole class trying to come up with someone who has a bigger head than her, and believe it or not, i couldn't think of anyone. Once you find someone, i'm sure that'll be the biggest accomplishment since regretting that you ever took this course.

She doesn't know the material. She has a sister who also teaches and I believe a lot of people here are confused. Her sister is good, this professor is horrible. She had to send us home 30 minutes into class because she couldn't figure out how to do the problems. She's unhelpful because she doesn't know the material.

she was a very fair professor.!! since our class was held in the summer, and being that the course material was difficult, she extended herself fully and worked with all of us. the whole class would have done worse if she didn't curve. we all ended up with a higher letter grade than we deserved.!! take her, you won't regret it!
