She is fair, clear, and makes herself available outside of class and passionate about teaching. If you ever need extra help, she is very willing to help you out. I'm really glad UofR has a Japanese professor like her.

Comment:

She is a very nice person. She takes her time moving through the readings to make sure everyone understands everything and calls on everyone to give them a chance to answer. However, she is a fairly strict grader. Messing up a particle or kanji stroke on an exam will cost you. Study hard, but you can always ask her questions.

She's incredibly patient, straightforward, and funny. She relates to the students like they're equals, and will go out of her way to accommodate the busy schedules of her students. She's by far one of my favorite professors here.

I can't imagine a more amazing professor. She is clear, direct and efficient, but still manages to create lectures and course schedules that are fully entertaining. She is one of the most warm hearted professors I've ever met.
