he's a cool guy and he's funny. his lectures are entertaining but it's 3 projects and 3 exams and if you mess up on one of them, you're kinda done for! work hard and ask questions

Great, I never imagined that i will understand and enjoy stats until his class. He explains how to do projects in class and his practice exams are similar to the actual ones. Very thorough and entertaining lectures, and a charismatic personality!

Comment:

Dummeldinger is the Robert Downey Jr. of the teaching world. He is super friendly, care free, and loves his job. He also happens to know what he is doing. I'd say his lectures are mandatory due to their helpfulness but he doesn't care about attendance. There are only a few assignments though, so you really have to pay attention and take your time.

He is hilarious. The class is interesting but I particularly think it was hard (if you miss class it's really hard to understand it later). He gives practice exams and makes videos solving it, and they are very similar to the test.

Professor Dummeldinger is truly a great teacher. He jokes a lot, very sarcastic, but also very kind and respectful. He doesn't give hw, but be ready to do some projects, which are easy if you pay attention during lectures. The exams are tricky though.

Dummeldinger ROCKS. (Disclaimer: stats is my favorite math.) Took him for Stat 1 and then Stat 2 over the summer. Pros: Hilarious, very clear, responds well to questions, doesn't require homework. Cons: Gives you more information on a concept than necessary, Bad TAs in the spring, sometimes requires partners on projects (esp. in stat 1)

SUPER EASY CLASS! I only went to three classes total, only the test days, and I got an A. The tests are exactly like the practice tests but just different number. Super easy just study those and you will pass with flying colors! Also go to the STATS lab for the projects and they will basically do it for you.

Comment:

Easily the best teacher I've had at USF. Had class every Monday 6:30-9:15, but everything class he mad interesting and made everyone laugh a few times. Stats could be boring especially for 3 hours at a time, but Dummeldinger really makes the class fly by. Hilarious stories and examples as well.

He's funny, really likes statistics, and overall a good professor. Get ready for lots of random off-topic stories about the 80s. The class itself isn't that hard, but you should definitely learn the basics of the subject in the first few weeks so you aren't behind. Test 1 is easy, Test 2 sucks, and by the time the final comes you'll know your stuff

Mainly exams and group projects (3 of each). He's an alright teacher, sometimes goes a bit quick. He makes a lot of jokes, some are really clever which is appreciated. Lots of stories that he makes relevant to the material. He's been teaching for a while. His TA's aren't very helpful which is rough.

Good teacher, difficult class. If stats doesn't come naturally, it will be a difficult class for you. He will grade you on 3 exams (somewhat difficult) and 3 group projects. The projects are easier than you think because it is only one partner and he makes a video outlining what he is asking for. Solid teacher, but get ready to work

Dummeldinger makes stats enjoyable. I had him at night for three hours and still he made me smile every class. He is very funny and even more helpful. He responds to emails quickly and offers extra help constantly. Class is based off three test (one is the final) and three partner projects. Attendance is not mandatory but vital for understanding.

Great prof. and makes Stats easy. Be aware that there are only 6 grades for the semester- 3 exams, 3 projects. He literally gives you the answers to the projects in class, so if you don't go, or make your partner pick up your slack and they bomb it, you can only blame yourself. The TAs will also check it for you if you visit before the due date.

I abhor math, and by the end of his course I seriously considered going into statistics. He made every class fun and enjoyable and I learned a lot. Easily the best Professor I have ever taken. I took summer school I didn't even need just so I could take Stat 2 with him instead of in the fall with someone else! 10/10 would take again.

Regardless of how you feel about statistics Dummeldinger is a fantastic professor! If you show up to class he is very funny and make stats slightly less boring! Also, the reviews are very similar to the test. Make sure to do the homework problems and study for the tests and an A is definitely attainable. Also, ask TAs if you need help with projects

If you do not have a good project partner, or do not already have a good comprehension of statistics before entering this class beware. Your grades are determined by four things only, and if you fail one of them you fail the class with no chance at recovering without taking the class again. If you are already not good at statistics you will get a C
